...or something similar that will hammer the dallis grass quick fast and in a hurry. I fired the chit outta Tru Green after they basically just watered the turf for me so I am looking for another lawn service as well.

Yeah, that's the problem with stuff that works. I literally need enough for less than a 1/4 acre. Or, I need someone other than the momo's at ScrewGreen to spray. I thought I read on here about someone that had a buddy that knew someone that would treat your turf the right way and cost less. If anyone can get me in touch with that someone I would appreciate it, I just need to kill the dallis grass ASAP. My bermuda is in pretty good shape otherwise...

Just called them, they don't have it and said even if they did you have to be licensed to get it. Figures...

From what I just read, the EPA is afraid that the organic arsenic found in MSMA (MonoSodium MethaneArsonate) is leaching into water and MIGHT be converted into the much more dangerous inorganic form.

can you still get the generic version of Carmex??, it kills just about anything but Bermuda, and it has some decent residual

Check with the nearest CPS. I buy glyphasate, 2,4D and MSMA from them.

Karmex (diuron) is not labelled for use in bermudagrass. It is mostly used as a PRE but sometimes as a POST too. The label says you can use it to get a top burn on bermudagrass, so it's more for control of bermuda than selectivity.
The best herbicide on the market right now for dallisgrass control (since MSMA is gone) is an herbicide called Tribute Total by Bayer. I've done numerous greenhouse and field trials testing all the herbicides with activity on dallisgrass and this one is the best. Some other herbicides and combinations will knock it back for a couple of months, but it will grow back. I'm not sure where you can buy Tribute Total but it is the BEST option right now. Follow the label specifically where it says to apply in late summer/early fall at 3.2 oz/A rate and probably twice. This is very important if you want the best bang for your buck.

Most any large Ag distributor still carries Target 6.6, which is the same as MSMA. Like others have said its only a contact kill. Also, I heard they are extending production for use in cotton due to the resistant pigweed issues we are facing in the southeast.

Hill hunter is right. You can still buy it from an ag retailer, but it's not labeled for residential use. We will still have it as long as we have roundup resistant pigweed and cotton.
