...per lb or ton of scrap steel going for right now? Anyone have a clue. I've got several 50 foot steel I-beams that i've got to cut up and haul off our property. Just wondering I heard $285 per ton a few months ago and I also hear $0.46 per lb recently. Any ideas? Thanks.

No idea, but I hope it's $0.46 per lb.

Wish u would have sold those i beams prior to cutting.

Sold some friday 225 a ton

They haven't been cut up, but they are old and bent pretty good. Used to be support to a bridge across a big creek at our deer camp. They are still whole as of now or at least 3 of them are. 50ft long, 18in tall, 7-8inch flange, 5/8 inches thick...

Saw this in the Market Bulletin after TODO pointed me to it for something else. $300 for those at 40ft long is cheaper than scrap prices.
