Question About Tractor Supply Co

Does Tractor Supply sell seed and feed? Can a local Co-Op/Feed Store survive when a Tractor Supply comes to town? Looks like they are gonna cover the state with their stores.

From my experience they suck! Only good thing about them is that they are open late and on Sundays. Otherwise I would never go in there.

That's my opinion as well. They feel like a small wal mart. Plus, the knowledge of the man behind the counter in the local co-op usually trumps that of a tracter supply worker by a country mile.

Did you know that there is a TSC between Morton and Newton?

That is exactly what has happened here in West Georgia. They have sprouted up in every town around. All of your local tack stores are gone and you only got the people behind the counter for any knowledge (mostly college kids that have never even seen a tractor, much less any animals.

The best thing about TSC is that they're everywhere and have clean bathrooms to blow up while on the road!

I think it's between Carthage & Raleigh, just north of Bienville National Forest. Not sure what the name of the town is.

I wouldn't buy stock in the company. They will be filing for bancruptcy before too long. They are doing the same thing that Circuit City, Best buy,
Goody's and other retail companies have fallen victom to.....expanding too fast with not enough sales to support the expansions.

Just my $0.02

From what I have seen this looks to be the truth. Over here in Texas they are everywhere. I mean everywhere. Every little town and community you come into will have a Whataburger and a Tractor Supply. The hell of it is that I never see anyone there. Ever.

Trip, I am going to store that little kernel of knowledge for the miles yet to come. Always looking for a good, clean, safe, Orkin-free place to use the chitter while on the road. You are obviously a man wise of the world.
