happens every year. all i ever read about it...."man, i hope we have a wet winter so we can get some ducks over here." or..."man, ever hole we got is bone dry, i hope we get some rain so this season wont be a bust."
now we have a good shower and folks already complaining about...." man, so much rain, i had to let some boards out of the culvert, " if we get too much water, the ducks will spread out and we cant get em in our hole. they'll have too many places to rest." or, "they are just too spread out, we didnt hardly see any."
i reckon by next season, we'll be incouraged to pray a prayer that goes like..." dear lord, please let it rain for duck season. but not too much, just enough to put about 18" in all the i hunt, just fill my fields to just under the levees and dont drop a drop on the private or protected land or anywhere outside the surrounding counties of my duck camp."
as for me, i say bring it on and dont let up for a while. the more the better as far as i'm concerned.
