Chopper and I went in on a group of birds i've been scouting out. we got in there early and there were about 7 birds gobbling (a couple were jakes). Had 3 jakes pitch in front of us and one blew up into strut. A little later it started raining turkeys. They were pitching all around us. We had 2 gobblers at 30 yards but they weren't the big strutters. The strutters were about 75 yards out in front of us heading our way, so we passed the smaller longbeards. We had a wad of hens about 20 yards from us when the 2 strutters got to 35 yards. I called with my mouth call, and they both hammered. Raised their heads and we popped em

This guy was on fire! He gobbled over 30 times on the roost, and another 20+ on the ground, including 6 times inside 25 yards (gotta love that). The look on his face when he realized he'd screwed up is one I can never get tired of..

Friday afternoon. Dropped him @ 7:02pm he was with 2 hens and a jake. the birds came 150 yards are so and were just out of range. The hens and jake flew up and he deciced to come a few steps closer and that was it.

#2 Sunday morning

Called up 4 long beards on the national Forest, first one that came in range met a wall of pellets from the 10ga.
