i agree shoot the high bird first and followw up with the last 5 shells :D

Negative. Shoot the bottom bird. Hes already closest and its easier to line your shot up coming up from under the bird rather than going down.

You serious, Clark? You ain't been doing this very long, have ya? Shooting the back or higher birds in the flock, if they're in good range, is always the smarter way to shoot into a flock of landing/committed ducks. Your subsequent shots will be at close range birds, mostly flying straight up. Kill the gimme bird first, and those back birds will be outta range lickety split.

No, because when you shoot the furthest away, the closest is still in range to follow up on.
