use a old cup cake pan. you can put as much lead as you want. i use old coat hangers or heavy single strand coated elec. wire. Bend the wire into a "U" put the melted lead in a cup cake hole, while holding the wire with needle nose pliers. The lead will harden quickley. These weights will not roll over. I make all my own weights.

You can take a piece of oak or other hard wood and chisel out the strap pattern. Use a nail for the decoy line hole.
If you have access to a router you can cut a lot of them at once and it works excellant.

A cast iron (Lodge) muffin pan works for me. Bought it at a yard sale.
I bend coated wire into an Omega (horse shoe with feet bent out). A friend of mine uses stainless steel wire but I haven't tried to find any yet.

damnyankee, thanks for the info, it worked great, I took a 3/4 in router bit, cut into some pt pine from Home depot about 3/16 of an inch deep for about 8 inches, and it worked great, each weight weighs about 6-8 oz. I bet I have made about 100 by know and needless to say it saved me a bunch, I put a nail in the top so I would not have to drill out each one and that caused some problems until the nail got loose and that allowed me to wiggle it a little again thanks !
