How many of you business owners have to deal with bad checks? A few people on here know me. I repair Mercury engines in Olive Branch. I have been in this business for 36 years and 20 of those have been for myself. I have never had a returned check until now. I had done work for this customer before with no problems. The quote below from the customer (Duck South member) tells how I saved him money. I didn't have to do that. The power trim motor finally went out and I had to replace it for him. The check was returned for NSF. I called twice and he said he would make it good. He didn't. On the third call I told him it would be turned over to the bad check unit with the DA. Sent a letter after that with no response in over two weeks. This was a substantial amount of money, considered a felony in Ms. It is plain and simple STEALING! I may never see my money but this person also has to stand before the Lord one day.

You will either get your money or the DA will make him pay for it. Sucks it was a substantial amount you may never see.
