Bob Dixon Vest

Postby vicksburg » Tue Jan 31, 2012 12:42 pm

I know this would probably be better suited in the classifieds, but it will be seen by the few that may have one in this section.
Anyone have a Bob Dixon Turkey vest they want to part with? Please let me know if so. Thanks.

Yeah good luck. Last one I have seen for sale was 2 or 3 years ago and they wanted $250 for it.
That was a good looking vest though and for a good cause. What year did they make them '07?

I think it was Feb 2008. I know it's a long shot, but you never know if you don't ask.

I have 2 of them with the tags still on them and I hunt with one. Best vest ever made in my opinion. Those vest are almost impossible to find. I am not interested in selling.

You hunt in a vest with the tags still on?!?!

TJ,
They are fine vests, no doubt, but the novelty and rarity of them is what makes them desirable.

Champ,

Look up the Mossy Oak Limbhanger vest and its almost the same thing. There are a few things the Dixon vest has that the limbhanger doesn't but they are close.

The main difference in the vest was that when Mossy Oak started auctioning off these vests each one was filled with custom made turkey calls that were individually numbered and singed. People like Will Primos, Preston Pittman, Bill Zearing (from Cody calls) and more than a few others made contributions and next you thing you know you've got something really special. I think a lot of the vests where bought at auction and then the calls were removed and vests kept selling. I do know that the original group of vests....maybe 200, i cant remember exactly, all had these calls in them.

Wish i would have bought one where they first came up.

Yeap, found this vest last year and has been the best I have found so far.
Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?

Nope cut the tags off of the Dixon vest that I hunt with but I left the tags on the other 2 that I bought that are hanging in the closet.

Yes I have 3 but it would take some serious coin for me to part with one of them. I can promise you that you don't want to spend that kind of money.

You don't know he might want to spend that kind of "coin".
