my female lab just went in for an emergency c-section, shes been in labor since last night, x-rays show that one of the puppies is sideways and cant get out. so they gotta cut my baby open. she's 8 yrs old and been with me and several of you guys on many a good hunt and a few bad ones, pray she makes it on a few more next season or two.

guys, first thank you for the prayers and the kind PM's they all mean alot, i know she is a dawg, but she is family and when something like this happens, its worrysome she has made it through the section fairly well, she now has 8 hungry lil pups (that my wife and i bottle fed most of the night to give Monroe a lil recovery time), she was pretty well outta her head till about 5 am this morning, she got her appitite back by 6am, and has been scarfing food since. she is still really weak, but has been keeping her babies close and loving them since she kinda got back to her senses.

I hope your Lab has a quick recovery. We had the same experience with an 8 year old female Lab a few years ago and she came through the experience with flying colors.
