I took a few deer to "the butcher shop" in Columbus. They were always nice and quick.

I always used Attala Frozen Foods Kosciusko. Archie always did a good job and he his prices were better than anyone I had used in Jackson area. But that was 5-10 years ago when I was still in school. Not the closest to Starkville but thought I would throw it out there.

I process my own now, but if all you want is steaks, ground, and ground sausage, you're going to be hard-pressed to beat Garner Meats in Sturgis off of Morgantown Rd. Good people and good quality.

They don't do anything cooked, though: summer sausage, smoked sausage, jerky, etc.

there around Mathiston. VERY GOOD summer sausage.
