Some guys hit a tree this morning and flipped their boat. They are very lucky to be alive. They almost lost their dog as well. It was pinned under the boat, but they were able to get it out.
I have a pic on my phone, but can't figure out how to upload it on my phone.

That right there is why I stop hunting that crap hole. Not worth racing or getting in a hurry over a duck.

The guy wasn't racing. He was one of the last to leave the ramp. His throttle stuck and he ran up the side of a cypress tree going into the C-hole. Threw him and his buddy along with his dog out. I was first to leave the ramp and sitting in the C-hole when it happened. I heard the crash and was first at the scene of the accident. We worked to free his dog from the bottom of his boat and then pulled them out of the water and into mine. This wreck wasn't from racing. A problem with the motor was to blame.

I stand corrected. But he should have had his kill switch attached to him or in reach and pulled it if it froze or stuck.

I was the guy who was involved in the accident. First i would like to thank the fine young men who saved my life and my buddy. There was no racing involved. The accident occurred due to a faulty throttle cable. The cable pinched in half resulting in the throttle being stuck wide open. So the first thing I did was try to turn the motor off. That did not work. So by this time I am try to pull the kill switch which was attached to me. As this is going on the spotlight goes out. I am trying to pull the kill switch and steer. Because of my speed in the tight spot I was not able to turn in time to miss a cypress tree. The boat hit the tree and flipped over. I was thrown out of boat and my buddy and dog were trapped under boat. My buddy was able to swim out and grab a tree. I keep my waders half on so was able rip them off. Once I realized my buddy was ok we screamed for help and God sent us his guardian angles. My dog was still under boat and wasn't leaving her. I was able to swim under and pull her out. A lot of you will think it's just a dog but she is my life. The guys who came to our rescue pulled out and took us to land. We were lucky water was 10ft plus. God was with us. The throttle cable never showed any type of trouble and was even working right before this. I had been slowing up and down riding in. Alot of you may say well I could of done this or that. But let me tell you it happened in a split second and we were swimming. Hope this story opens some eyes and realize how important being safe is. We were Not wearing life jackets. It was a miracle we were not knocked out. Once again thank you heroes. I am writting this because of your quick actions.

Glad everyone came out unscathed. A boat can be replaced but a life can't. Guess this should remind us all to wear life jackets (non-inflatable ones) and leave the waders off until the boat stops. Man that is scary.

Wesley, that could have very well been me and my buddy in that situation. It was the least we could do helping y'all out. Something told me to kill my motor for a minute this morning. I'm glad God was watching and all is ok. Keep in touch man.
