Sometimes I really hate technology.........

Awhile back I bought a 300x vhs-c palmcorder with digital picture capabilities. I maxed out the memory card at 105 pics. Recently I bought an HP digital photoshop deal that will print out 4x6 pics. I got everything setup earlier and went into my lists of pics. The last five pics were worthless and on a list page by themselves and selected them for deletion........well they were deleted............along with the damn 100 pics I was going to print out....

I am so damn mad right now I don't know what to do.....the message box came up saying delete the selected page..........not selected page(s).......... :(

Had all of rowdy's puppy pics, early teal season pics, and pics from every hunt this season..........all gone except for the few I posted here...

Why does technology have to be so great in the beginning..........but turn into an a-hole at the end when it comes time to really use it... :?

Hell, son, you just described a marriage! Great in the beginning, then gets confusing and turns into Hell somewhere in the process!

GH22, sounds like you are having some really bad luck. I had this happen to me last deer season. I had a pair of those Bushnell Digital Binoculars. I took a bunch of pictures of a really nice buck way off in a field. I planned on putting them on the computer and zooming in on him to check him out. My piece of crap camera messed up and every picture was lost. Those memories that are caught on camera can never be relived. Just to think of it pisses me off more.

Usually just the first few bytes in the FAT (file allocation table) are overwritten on a delete. Any good recovery software should be able to bring them back.

Ringbill, could you give me some more info on what I have to do to get those pics back? I've contacted Panasonic about it and are waiting on their reply. The pics were deleted with the digital photoshot software that came with this panasonic digital palmcorder with Photoshot.

'Sorry about your pictures......'hope you can retrieve some (no pun intended). 'Sounds like MY kinda luck with 'gadgets', too. I probably woulda done the same thing.

Hey.........you don't have to have a key to operate that camera, do you?

Lost the key so I had to break into it.......guess it's getting me back by making my pics disappear....

What a bummer, sorry to hear that. Maybe the techno nerds can retrieve it?

It happens with the old fangled stuff to. My sister shot a roll of endless film at my Mom's 70th B-day party but there was no film at all in the camera.
That was a classic we'll never let her forget.

The moral of the story is: practice a little before you fill-er up
