waterfowlwidowmaker wrote:Duckman, I can promise you arn't the only one "walking that line" and "living the lifestyle" My goup of hunting partners and I definatly live the lifestyle. Every extra minute and every extra dollar goes towards our "lifestyle". Its what we do. Just because we maybe of the younger generation does not mean our love for the sport and the "heritage" is any less. The only thing our age generation gap has to do with anything is the fact that we still have more to learn and to experience.
Oh I know I'm not the only one. I have been around enough years to have met quite a few. However the majority claim they are but through actions they prove otherwise many times over.
Why is it that you are fixed on this younger generation deal?
There are a few young men in our deer club that I think a great deal of. They have proven to be good men and are very respectful of others. I do however know several that will make it a point to argue with anyone about anything when they feel they need to prove something about their manhood. It comes off as totally disrespectful and arrogant to argue with some one 30 to 40 years your age.
Respect is nothing like it use to be. I'm in my 50's and I still show respect to men years older than me. I don't always agree but I don't put them down in the process. Many youth today think they have the right to say and do what they please. In my eyes it is the failure of my generation in raising them to know better.
So get off the youth wagon WWM, it is long past the point of repair.
