I grew up down there and have been a fan all my life. Even when we were getting the heck beat out of us pretty regular by the cross state gang.
You don't have to darken the door of a University to be a true and loyal fan.
I am a fan of the Grove myself. Going over with some friends in a month or so for the game. Looking forward to it.
