Not me. Yes, the kid asked for it. But there is a definite heirarchy here. Animals, and I do not care what kind they are, N-E-V-E-R harm a child. If they do? then they are gone.

Cats are not dogs. You can try and teach them rules, but they will never pay any attention to them. Much better odds of teaching a kid not to hit the animals. I don't think there is a cat out there that would take getting hit like that. They aren't labs.

our cat will do that but won't put her claws out...it's like she knows when to use them and when not to...she gets pissed and slaps the he11 out of us all the time but doesn't stick her claws out, so it's harmless. She usually runs from the kids when they get around her but the few times she has swatted them she doesn't use her claws.
