I have never had not one GW say anything what so ever about having birds tagged
or seperated. I think someone on here said it before, if the guy wants to write a ticket, hes gonna find something to write
one about. Either you can fight it, or go pay the ticket. End of story. Piss him off by fighting it, and he'll write you another
one next time he sees you. JUST cause he can. My $0.02 to ya brother is just go pay the ticket and chalk it up to experience.
I think you summed it up pretty well.

No it was not a Charles. Probably not a good idea to plaster the wardens name all over the internet either, especially when you don't know who is on here reading.
Leave well enough alone!
Attitude has a lot to do with getting tickets and getting in trouble with the law. These so called ego trips are usually an end result of YOUR attitude.

All of these things are against the law, but I have been let go on some of these very same things by some game wardens....while others get ticketed. Im just stating that the GW has to have discretion when it comes to some of these laws...if there is no harm, then no foul kinda thing. Only other way around this is to write a ticket to EVERY violater.
Well I really was hoping you'd name 100 things cause I could only think of 73 and I don't want to let anyone off easy.

You fellas that put 'em all in one truck after the hunt and haul it back to the camp better be tagging them.
We checked a truck yesterday with 4 guys in it and 63 ducks. None of them were tagged. The Federal man was there.

I don't think tags would have even helped in that case.

Just please REMEMBER, you ALWAYS have the right to go to Court !!!
Most reading this have probably been to court on a traffic ticket before...
Where you actually didn't think that you were doing anything wrong.
Yet, everyone on this site probably commits a "technical" violation of a traffic law everyday (speeding, failure to come to a "complete"stop, failure to signal .....) and are not ticketted for them.
But we are all thankful that there are traffic cops, because without them the Roadways would be too dangerous to drive on.
And we are also GLAD that we have GWs, they insure that everybody plays by the rules and that the sport of hunting will still be around for our kids.
But as "humans", GWs can be guilty of being overzealous from time to time.... so go to court.
I like to be checked by the GW, they are a GREAT source of information about where birds are being killed.... and most of them are very nice guys that "LOVE" the outdoors as much or more than you do.
God Bless you

There it is. I was just waiting for someone to pull out their overzealous card.
