ok, who all is making plans for Iowa already? Once again i'm not gonna be able to go because of school!!!

But, Max will be there again with Ronnie. We'll get it this next time. Came so close in GA but i'm still very proud.

I sent max to this grand mainly see where we were at in the whole sceme of things. Little did i know that he would do so well. So we're gonna work our buts off this summer and he'll leave going north with Ronnie the end of July and smash the grand this fall.

Chipper, Marinda and I are in Grenada. Went out on the fourth series, Avery water series. Johnny Barlow's test.
The Tritronics land test was as straight up a test as anyone could ask for. The Purina water test was the most gnarly test I have ever seen. The Gunners Up land series was judged EXTREMLY tight for line matters. Avery water test was a good strong finished test.One dog came up with a broke foot on the Purina water blind.
Daisy and Abby have looked good in all four series. The upland tomorrow is always a crap shoot but I believe that both will come up with their first pass. Charles Dwyer's dog Trey is running strong also. He should get his Grand title tomorrow.
Anyone heard from jsherwin? He was waiting to run the Purina water series this afternoon.

I got caught up on the first log. The log that in fasing you on the first log, Malli got caught up under it and i casted her back, she got under it again and then got in the grass. Got her out of the grass and into the channel after the second log she rolled off the side like many where doing. then got back into the grass. She got disoriented from getting caught under the log she didn't really no what to do. A few whistle refusals and a few cast refusals. I picked her up before the judges told me to, that was the next thing coming out there mouths.

Very doable test. It's the test that people will talk about for years.

First test Gunners UP.- Smoked the marks, last bird back Malli passed me up. Judge asked me to get her under control. To which i said man she's takong a crap, for the 3rd time that day. Do good on the blind.
chop sticks, day one for lack of control one returning a bird. EVER HEARD OF SUCH, So we did good bleasing from day one.
Lack of control, my foot hurts. one word "Canada"

second AVERY- Smashed it.

Third Tri-Tronics- SMASHED IT. Lined the blind to which i only heard of 3 dogs doing it all week. One being the one and only T-Bone.

Front footed every mark in all test

Had alot of momentum going until Purina.

It happens, THE SECOND IS ALWAYS HARDER. Just go back and look at some of the greats.
Had a great time with some friends: Hung out with some good MS boys-:goosebruce, t-bone, charles, chance, steve and one al boy stumpjumper. Had fun clapping at the judges. Everyone there will no what i mean.

To any and everyone. If you get a chance run your own dog and give it a try. This is my second and if i could do it in Iowa i would but 10 days of vacation a year just don't fly for me. 5 does good.

Hate to hear that Malli went out man. She's a fine dog! She'll get that GRHRCH on day, she's to good of a dog not to. Looks like the 4th series was the death of alot of us (no matter what test we were on). I thought Max had if after having all 2's going into the 4th but hell dogs are going to be dogs and he picked a bad day to act like a dog.

Clarke you never no what you got until you look at some sheets. You don't have a clue what these people are thinking.
If your dog has a cast refusal you may get dinged you may not. If you have 2 your dinged.
I saw a guy that thought he had 2's and didn't go to call backs. He didn't play the next day.

Ronnie just thought that he would have all 2's. He just acted an @$$ today handled on a mark and then blew him off on the blind. So they asked him to rope him. Just part off it.

Only 97 dogs going to the 5th series - upland. 330 started the event. Think it ain't tough?? Wow........The Purina Water Test killed most of them.
