There's no such thing as a "gay agenda", other than them wanting to be afforded the same rights given to straight people. They aren't trying to "turn people gay". You know why (and this is something EVERY gay person already knows)? IT'S NOT A CHOICE! Get over it people! Geeeez.
Saying there is no agenda is a lie. These people are not satisfied with the right to marry. They are just like other minorities. They want to press and push and dominate the majority. If I go somewhere and they don't want to serve me, do I sue? No, I take my business elsewhere. They go out of their way to impose their deviant lifestyle on people who disagree. As you read this right now, you have jumped on the word "deviant" most likely. That is what it is. A deviation from the normal. Their constant pressing is what causes the hate. Go hump another dude if you want to, no need to want to do it in public, and no need to try to make me say I am ok with it. These people are not oppressed. They just squeal like a bunch of whining brats.
There will be a day....

What is this crap about them wanting the same rights as the rest of us? NEWSFLASH- they've always had the EXACT SAME RIGHTS as the rest of us! They have always had the right to marry ONE person of the OPPOSITE SEX just like every other American citizen. This whole "marriage inequality" is and always was a fallacy, just like the supposed "war on women" and all of you who bought in to it were duped. I suppose you'll be voting for Hillary too.

How is allowing gay marriage reckless? There are people in this country that are Christian, Muslin, Hindu, Buddhist, etc. etc. etc. So why should they be pulled into having to follow a Christian Government? In this day and time there are all types of people in this here world we live in, and that make up this great country of ours. You just cussed.. willingly and probably multiple times today, and will probably do it multiple more times today. If all sins are equal in the eyes of God, you're no better than a homosexual. Drank beer lately? Looked at a woman, and though? Damn, the things I would do with that? Its all the same.

"I repent for my sins and don't live in it" but I bet you cuss on sundays after church too when you rack your knuckles, or spill a drink (or beer).

This is why the South is so far behind in every aspect of decent living in this country. We don't attract jobs, we're fat, stupid, stuck in our ways. Look at the bright spots in the South and they have more of a young generation that is progressive. They're open minded, now I'm not saying that my generation is perfect, because we're not. But atleast we don't prejudge and hate someone just because they are different.

Gay marriage in no way affects anyone on this board. It doesn't make your quality of life suffer because gay people are now allowed to marry the person they love. It doesn't make the world end. Its been over a week now, I don't see any fire coming from the skies. It doesn't make gas go up in price, or milk, or bread. This is a non-issue that over zealous people are clinging too.

The world is moving forward in a positive direction, jump on board or be left thumping your Bible muttering fire and brimstone and being pissed at the world, the choice is yours.

This is exactly why this country is sinking fast. people that sin willingly, and don't seek god go to hell for not repenting their ways. We all sin, but some go to church and ask for forgiveness. The queer life style is a dead end road. Period.
As for other countries and fags, look what muslims do for the HOMOs.
MS is doing just fine. Anybody that wants a job can find one. Anybody that wants to go to school can do that also.
Ask Bennie Thompson what he's done for the delta lately. Look at how nice Jackson is. Liberal thinking is what's bringing this country down. I find it funny, the better some idiot like you thinks things are and GOV is the answer, the worst things get. I don't hate, and I try not to judge, but you are a sheep fool.

Wow!!!! I will take my chances believing in my lord and savior. If you believe then you know what happens when you turn your back on him. I would rather Beleive and be right on judgement day than not Beleive and be wrong. Fire and brimstone.....the day is coming sooner than we think at this pace.

Your and my idea of a "bright spot" must be different.. where (what cities) exactly are you referring to as a "bright Spot" in the South? Gay marriage issue aside, the bright spots I feel you are referring to are some of the most crime ridden and violent "spots" this country has.. Let me Guess a few..Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston, Memphis, etc... No thank you for me.

I agree the world is moving forward, but again, you and I differ in the direction, I see us going in a negative direction, so you feel free to "jump on Board" while I refrain from doing such.

If gays want to get married, I don't care. I see this as a moral issue between a person and the Lord (if they even believe in the Lord) I personally don't see where it is any business of the Gov. But it is the same thing going to happen with this as is happening with the flag.....where do our concessions stop?? What else do we have to give up or concede before the gays, blacks, illegals, transgenders, etc... are happy??

I would guess that maybe one of those cities would be on his (or my list). Atlanta is a boom town. Yes it has crime, but so does every other big city in America. Certainly no higher than Jackson MS. The rest are in NO WAY attracting businesses. Nashville and Austin immediately spring to mind as great cities. You mentioned Houston, so I am including Austin, even though TX isn't always associated with the south.

Memphis is awful when it comes to being forward thinking. If FedEx leaves, it will be in ruins. New Orleans only growth is in the Entertainment business. Lots of Hollywood movies and TV shows shoot there because it's cheap (much like Atlanta). Memphis couldn't even get a movie based in it to film there because it was cheaper to film in ATL (Blindside).

All the folks who think gay marriage is the worst thing ever better make sure they've never worn wool and cotton at the same time, had sex with their wife/girlfriend while she was on the rag, talked back to your parents, have tattoos, eat rabbit or shellfish or pork, had a vasectomy...on and on.

Because all are major no-no's. Last time I checked, all those are legal in the U.S.

You would think that the gov't is forcing you to marry a dude by how upset everyone is getting. But don't worry, you can still marry a chick.

Okay, do you claim to be a Christian? You sure don't know much about it, sir. Please do not come at a Christian with mosaic law stuff. Read Romans bro. Start with chapter 1 then check out 6 and 7. Chapter 1 will tell you what God thinks of homosexuality and chapters 6 and 7 will explain why the mosaic law is meaningless to Christians.

Ah name calling, Glad to see you can keep things civil. Considering everyone here thinks I'm some Liberal Hippie "Faggot" loving Obamer, I'll let yall know where I stand on certain issues. You know.... There is a thing called agreeing with both sides of the table.

For context, I probably work more in a week than most members of this board work in 2. I've been working since I was 10, so 16 years now consistently pulling between 75-90 hours a week of hard outdoor labor. Most I've ever worked was 109 hours in a week.

You don't have to be Left Wing, or Right Wing. You can think certain groups have good points.... Its a novel idea I know.

Gay Marriage - Sure, obviously I'm fine with it. If people want to marry the person that makes them happy, I'm all for it. The world is dreary and scary enough. It doesn't affect my everyday life if two guys get married. I'm still gonna go after the chicks though.

Firearm Possession - I believe you should have the right to own firearms if you want them. I'm for concealed carry as well. I have about 10 guns sitting in my closet now.

Marijuana - Naturally occurring plant. The most violent thing that is going to happen while high is destroying a bag of Cheetos or a pizza. If you want to call weed a gateway drug, then alcohol might as well be one too. Legalize it. Tax it. Build up our school system. Let farmers grow Hemp. Clear out the prison with simple stupid weed charges. Profit.

Abortion - Eeeeehhhhhhhhh, both sides have some points. I think its a woman's body what she wants to do with it is her choice. But I'm constantly on the fence about this issue.

Welfare / Food Stamps - I think there should be drug testing to be on it. I think it should end after 2-3 months. Its a hand-up not a hand-out. White, black, asian, mexican everyone abuses it and I think its a crock of $#!+ my taxes go to it.

Politicians - I don't believe anyone. Republican, Democrat, Independent... Everyone its a lying piece of crap. Everyone is there to pad THEIR pockets. Everyone says the SAME thing and delivers the same results as the previous 100 people before them. Politicians are right next to the Morgan & Morgan lawyers and they can go eat a big one. If you think Republicans aren't just as corrupt and money driven as Democrats you've lost you're mind. Not a single one can be trusted IMO.

The Flag (Confederate in State Flags) - I think its fine. It doesn't remind Dontrell of his ancestors 150 years ago.

My Generation - I think they are $#!+. Lazy, ungrateful, disrespectful little douches. But most of ya'lls generation let them get that way as parents. Mine whipped my ass when I needed it, in public or not. I think kids these days are soft, and lazy.

All the major points I can think of right now..

You left out the most important belief...... Do you Beleive in Jesus Christ??? All the hours you work a week etc or other beliefs won't get you into heaven if not. You say you do hard work with 90 hours outside in the heat etc. imagine spending 24 hours in hell. Then again if you don't Beleive in heaven or hell this won't apply to you.

Yes I do. But because I think someone should marry who they want, that means I'm going to hell? There are muslims, hindu, buddhist, etc in the world, does that mean you're going to hell because they exist?

If your a Christian then either you Beleive marriage is between a man and woman or not. No grey area. As for Muslims etc......they Beleive what their religion teaches and in the end we will see who is right. Try finding a Muslim that will condone going against what they are taught. They stand by what is taught and as a Christian you should to. But in the end it's between you and your god. On judgement day you have to answer for yourself not me. If you think your good then roll the dice. If the world is moving so positively then he won't be coming back anytime soon I guess.

So as a Christian you believe the bible is wrong and you are right on the same sex marriage??
