That is a nice list of players from across the NW MS area that played at SP. Intersting to see the schools they chose. Seems like UM got a lot more of those players.

So if Chris Jones goes to OM, Freeze would get the #1 overall player & #1 DE(Nkemdiche) the #2 DE(Jones) the #1 Receiver(Treadwell) and the #1 O-Lineman(Tunsil)....pretty crazy.
when the fax machine starts receiving on wednesday then i'll believe it... till then not so much... still keep waiting for the we are ole miss moment...
It's gonna happen....Georgia just offered another o-lineman today.
What's crazy is that 247 site has their top 3 recruits in the country as:
1) Robert Nkemdiche
2) Chris Jones
3) Laremy Tunsil

My pleasure, how many have been the past five or six years and actually went to an SEC school and actually contributed and stayed there for 3 years or more. Griffin for Bama never played and pretty sure did not last more than two years. I am not saying they don't put out prospects, I am saying they have a had a run lately of the majority of them not working out.

What you implied is most players coming out of SP are failures, b/c there have been a few notable ones, an assumption or stereotype on your part that was very wrong.

Recap of SP's main recruits over the last 5-6 years.
Chris Strong- 2007-Did not workout at Ole Miss, but went to Central Arkansas-played and graduated
Tig Barksdale-2008-True disappointment-Attended 4 colleges in 5 years, the last two at Lousiana Lafayette as Starting Safety
Nick Parker-Highly over-rated, has been at Ole Miss for the last three years.
Kendrick Market -is at MS State and playing
Nick Brassell-Needed a little more guidance as a true freshman, like most of us did, is still in college and will be playing football
Issac Gross- Enough said.
Temario Strong- is at Ole Miss and will be playing
Chris Herring and Jermaine Griffin was 10 years ago. Strong decided he did not want to play football. He could have went to other schools but did not. Griffin had two knee surgery that ended his football career in his third year, he did graduate from Alabama and was part of a national Championship team.
These are 18-19 year old kids. Tig is the only true "bad apple".

Chris Jones is a defensive end out of Houston, Mississippi, and he's considered the second best prospect in the country by 247sports.com. Jones is also committed to Mississippi State, but over the last few weeks he's made multiple visits to rival Ole Miss.
Which is sure to ruffle quite a few feathers, and according to Jones it's doing more than that. Jones told ESPN that he's received death threats.
"It was a crazy weekend," Jones told ESPN. "I received death threats, insane messages, you name it. I mean, it has not been as stressful as people would think it has been. I have tried to handle it in the most comfortable way possible, so it has really been all right for me, and in the end, I am very blessed to have this opportunity to play for either in-state school."
I'm not sure I would say that receiving death threats hasn't caused me a lot of stress, but to each his own, I suppose.
Still, if Jones has indeed been receiving death threats from fans, it just goes to show how incredibly stupid some people are and will always continue to be. He's just a kid trying to figure out where he wants to go to college. The people harassing him probably take 20 minutes to figure out what they want for lunch every day.

Exactly....I can't believe grown men act the way they do about recruiting - they hang on every update or recruiting article like they're life hinges on what an 18 year old kid says that day - then if they don't like what they hear they just HAVE to take their frustrations out and talk crap about XYZ recruit - then when they hear the next update and it sounds like XYZ recruit is leaning towards their school they all of a sudden love him....it's pathetic, these people have issues. I follow recruiting but the day I let a 17-18 year old kid's choice affect me whatsoever is the day I'll check myself into Whitfield.

Could be a false flag attempt to sway him to Ole Miss as well. I'm sure some bright minds are out there getting paid to do just that - they saw how effective Merlins' DA fan assault was on Brassell and CJ Johnson a few years ago and stand to gain a great recruit out of it. It's all speculation and damage control until these KIDS make it to campus. They are a bunch of 17-18 yr old walking erections, after all...

Rebs get Conner, should be an early starter for them. I think he is going to be a big time player. So I guess Brassel will be sticking to the defensive side of the ba since they have Moncrief and treadwell.

Brassell needs to stick to Defensive...he's a legit NFL corner prospect...he's just an athlete on offensive and with Moncrief, Treadwell, that new 4* that was committed to TAMU and signed today Qunicy Adeboyejo, and not to mention returning players Logan, Sanders, Collins all good receivers...Brassell isn't needed on offense
He can return kicks and punts too I suppose, god knows that little short kid Nutt signed from Arkansas (Korvic Neat) doesn't need to and I'd rather Jeff Scott not get hurt doing it.
