Wasn't competitive, we played like we didn't care to be out there. Black Bears played with a purpose and fire. Congrats on the bowl game.

The teams are almost identical statistically speaking. The only difference is y'all got UT and Kentucky. We got Georgia and Vandy. Think next season may be rough for state. The schedule sets up a lot like Ole Miss schedule did this year.

You do realize if state would've beat Ole Miss that would've been their best win this year

From a State fan, I dont think we played anyone that was worth their salt this year. Any other year with the same schedule, we would have had three quality wins in TN, Arky, and AU, but they turned out to suck as well. We just sucked a little less than all of them. State had trouble executing on defense all year.... we need to start over in this department. Whatever kind of defense you want to call it that we have been running clearly was ineffective, especially against high powered offenses.

I was hoping State was a little better prepared last night but we just sucked it up the second half. We failed to take advantage of key opportunities in the first half which could have kept the crowd out of it coming out in the 3rd. But we didn't get points on a bonehead 4th and goal, and we could only convert a huge turnover into 3 pts. We get touchdowns and a fg on either one of those then its 24-14 or 24-17, then its a different game all night.

Congratulations Ole Miss, you beat MSU fair and square last night. You played better with more emotion than us and it showed in the end.

Congrats Ole Miss. You wanted it more and played hard for four quarters.

Come on state! You need to put more effort. And Wilson and Hevesay need to go.
