Just finished hunting in Missouri and there is way to much water everywhere. Plenty of ducks but they are flying everywhere and we couldn't seem to get them interested an sitting anywhere. Some of these folks that don't hunt and will not let you hunt need to pull there boards and get rid of some water. We need some consistently cold weather it keeps warming up and the ducks don't seem to push very far when it cools down.

Did you ever stop and think maybe they're holding that water for erosion control, or weed control,.or to give the birds a place to go where they're not getting shot at?

What you talkin' bout Willis? Don't you know the only reason to hold winter water is to have a place to kill ducks?

Buddy of mine drove to Little Rock Arkansas Monday and saw thousands of ducks in all the flooded fields along the interstate. And also another friend goes to Iowa for Christmas and he called to share that the lake that's on a refuge that they ice fish is not frozen at all and that there are thousand upon thousand of ducks sitting on the refuge there.

I have bottle rockets and I will travel. If they won't leave we will make them leave.

Just check the 10 day forcast for anywhere in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, or Nebraska. No snow, and mild temperatures. That's where all the ducks are. Duck season is closed in the northern states, so they aren't getting any pressure. Also if there isn't any snow covering the fields, mallards can dry feed and fly to rivers to get water. It's going to take a lot colder temps than they are getting now to get the big water to freeze up to push the other ducks down.
