George T. Stagg is another good one if you are feeling froggy. At roughly 140 proof, you've got to be careful.

I generally sip it on really cold nights.

I have always been an 8yo Charter man, until this summer when I tried some Evan Williams. I can't taste the difference, so I've switched. Also had my first Maker's Mark this summer. My Father-In-Law is saving the bottle of MM I gave him for when he get's a Grandchild.

The Irish is gooood stuff! Try the Red Breast Irish 20 yr. Quite pricey, but you're not supposed to chug it. Like a fine Scotch, sip it slow and enjoy. Like I posted earlier, if you hate Scotch, you probably just haven't had any of the good stuff.
If you are drinking for effect, get some cheap booty whiskey like the Heaven Hill crap my kid brought home, and go at it, then deal with the hangover tomorrow.
If you want to enjoy a good drink, maybe just one or two a night, spend the money and get good Irish or Scotch. Maybe a splash of sprite or ginger ale if you think you need to cut it.
Red Breast Irish (so smooth even my wife will drink it neat)
Glenlivet
Macallens
Glenmorangie
Dewars is OK for a blended
Jameson Irish

For American whiskeys, nothing beats the MAkers MArk. Theres a bottle on top of the fridge now waiting for duck season to open.

Booker's, Maker's, Knob, Charter.......While definitely Booker's is special and not just a camp whiskey for me, that stuff put a whoopin  on me the other night!! Maker's and Charter favorites for the camp IMO

5 pages and only ONE George Dickel preference.

Scotch? No. I love Redbreast. In fact I'm having a glass now.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Rich and Rare. That's poor man's Crown and I can guarantee you it would win a taste test vs any Crown, Turkey, Jack, Charter, or Maker's... Try it and after I save you $20 on the first liter, you can kindly send me a few ribeyes from Folk's...

Just picked up a bottle of Blantons single barrel from your suggestion doc. Hope it's some food stuff.

Edited to add that it is VERY fine bourbon.

Usually drink whatever Roach has behind his seat. Been known to have a bottle of wild turkey and a bottle of sweet Lucy behind mine this time of the year.

I have been drinking Sweet Lucy lately, not a true bourbon, but has a great taste. Would also go good in the duck blind.
