With all due respect, let us have this site to ourselves and say what we want to and have fun, so as not to try and turn this place into the gestapo controlled site that the state has. BUT...since you are over here looking around I feel like I need to say something that many people want to say...and would get publicly hung if they said it over at the state site..."quit bastardising our public resources for the use of out of state income" that includes publicising our duck hunting and crappie fishing opportunities throughout the state....you dont see other states doing it...why us? For a few extra dollars? They(people from Alabama, Georgia, SC, and NC(midwesterners for the crappie fishermen)) are ruining our public spots for the residents...and taking the fun out of the sport. I dont want to bust my booty and get to a place I found, only to have some corksoaker for AL drive his mud motor rig through my decoys and set up 45 yards from me. Its making not hunting public land fun anymore....thanks for your time...carry on
I for one welcome him to this site. Get off your high horse. A state site is going to be policed way more than this one here. He DID NOT come on here to police us(That is Greenhead22 job). If he offers THE RIGHT info, he helps us all. Kevin B, do not let a few run you off when you can help the many! Thanks for what you do.

What makes you guys think you should only have public land to yourself? I see no problem with hunting out of state if you do it legally and ethically. You always say its oosers setting up right on top of you and messing up your hunt. I have put in lots of my hard earned money and time into scouting and finding places to hunt. I buy all my permits and liscenses. I am just as legal as any of you Mississippi natives. If you could only hunt and fish in the state you lived the world would be a boring place. Heck there are guys on this website who go all over the place, I envy those guys, and one day I hope to do it too. If you dont want to go different places and experience new things I feel sorry for you. So you guys that dont like oosers, have you never hunted or fished out of state? I doubt it. Nobody flattens your tires or destroys your personal belongings when you come fish in Alabama, Fl, or La. I just dont see the point in it. God put the birds of the air and fish of the sea for everyone on this earth to enjoy. Nobody has more entitlement to public land and water than the next guy, as long as you do it legally. Im sure Ill get flamed but I dont care; Ill be hunting in Miss pretty much all season and Im sure everyone will be just as friendly as they always have.

I consider some of yall on here great friends and I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers... I've been a long time forum member and have seen alot of BS. 95% in fun, but, when it comes to this kinda crap I have to agree with Mudsucker... The guy is just trying to set the record straight and agreed and understood that it was a joke! Like most of yall, I don't necessarily agree with the way the current situation is... In short, it sucks! :x But, it is, what it is... Nuff said; for this year anyway! :(
Kevin B, thank you for the info. Please do not let the tone of this discussion keep you from participating on the forum.

Therin lies the hate....if you do it like yourself, then I have no problem....but it is very seldom that we see people from out of state that are like that. Many come over here, sit at the boat ramp, and follow us in....then then next weekend there are droves from that part of your state that come over with their buddies, and people who have heard them blab there mouths on the internet about this "bad booty sport called duckhunting" and how they "whacked 'em and stacked 'em at such and such WMA or public hole", not knowing a damn f'ing thing about what they are doing, and screw up all the hunting....if you dont believe, ask around...there are only so many people that our public places can take, and the residents do a good job at filling up those locations. Then you take a a bunch of Jimmy Knee Booter's from Alabama(Albania as we call it), NC,SC, GA, who thinks that just because they spent their money in our state, and drove all this way, they are ENTITLED to hunt wherever they deem appropriate even if it flucks up the rest of the place. I've seen it a million times over.

I see your point and I agree delta. I've seen it happen too. I just take it in stride and know that's part of it. I wish it wasn't like that. I just don't like being labeled as a moron bc I from Al. Some people just don't wanna do things the hard way and put in the leg work it takes to kill a duck on public land. I understand where you coming from. I wasn't trying to jump on anyone. Good luck this season.

Brain, have you seen the state's budget deficit? Something like 5% across the board cuts to all state agencies, so on, such as. Considering this, you can bet that the state will milk anything they can for all its worth to gain revenue, in this case in the form of out of state licenses, etc. And that is there perogative, since they own the WMA and let us hunt there, which is a pretty nice setup. Although i realize they were paid for with our tax money, its still a pretty good system, at least until the oos'rs f it up. But im sure all the other states that mississippian's go to, say colorado for elk, midwest for deer, bitch the same about us.

i got no prob with outta staters hunting, its the topwaters thats F it all up, i have had more youngsters that are local to the area come in late and set on top of me than outta staters and they get all pissy when i invite them to hunt with me instead of f'n up both our hunts so they f it up anyways and then leave early and sit at the boat ramp till i come out and they wanna start somthing.

to all TOPWATERS, STAY HOME
