Got up Sunday morning hoping to get some hunting in while the weather had broke... Made my way to my spot to listen.. Wind was breezy and it was bad overcast. At 6:23 he blasted off one gobble... Moved up on him. I was on the next ridge top over, maybe 400 yards. Decided to set up near the bottom on my side. I called to him and he cut me off.. Few minutes later i called again and he cut me off. Wasn't long before i heard him drum. Spotted him coming up the ridge at me at 70 yards in strut. He pulled outta strut and was walking fast. Took my shot at 30 yards. 7:00 Am hunt was over.. started raining shortly after that.. Three gobbles and called twice.. Nice and clean hunt.
