Until then I aint bashing anyone who wears a badge and puts his life on the line protecting a privlidge I enjoy for next to nothing in pay..

Over my years of hunting I have met both good and bad Game wardens, state and Federal.
The vast majority were good men doing their jobs. Others just didn't have much of a personality while a couple were down right butts.
But you see that in everyday life so why would you think that would not be the same in an organization the size of these departments?
I always give them respect and have never been afraid of any of them because I knew I was doing nothing wrong. When you legal you have nothing to worry about.

game Wardens
Who really needs them
I tell you what wingman, Pack your stuff up, come on back to Quitman county where you are appreciated and desperately needed. Folks down there obviously have no trouble with poachers or road riders. You can rent my grandma's house in lambert for CHEAP. Come on back pal!!!!!!
Guys, there are a few Gw, cops, etc that may not talk to you like they should, but 99% of the time these guys do a super job. Rob, I have told you many times you do a great job, and we (the law abiders) hated to see you go.

There will be a day....
The people that typically bash the game wardens are the ones typically breaking the law. I know Wingman is alot nicer guy than me because I would be taking notes of all the folks in here bashing and they would be the first ones checked at the start of each hunting season.
Thanks Rob for the job you do.

You hit the nail on the head there, the ones that do the bashing and bitching are the very ones that break the law.
Life is to short to only fish on weekends
I used to hunt with a warden who was a great guy... I respect wardens for doing the job they do for the pay is nothing else!!!
Then I had several issues with one that was crooked (and eventually lost his job) as a question mark. SOB lied in court on me! Write me a ticket for hunting without a license and hunting at night at the same time...explain that shat???
I was guilty of neither FYI, as was proved in court!

GWs are like any other profession --- there are good ones and bad ones.
I have met Rob before on several occasions and think he is a fine fellow, and one that has the right disposition to be a very good game warden. I told him so when he first made the career move. And he is already demonstrating that in the field.
And in the 180 degree direction, we have unnamed wardens in my area who will do nothing to help us with poaching, trespassers making meth, trespassers who steal deer stands and equip., etc. But, one of them found the time to write a ticket to one of our club members for riding on a levee on his 4 wheeler for a short distance with a loaded rifle secured in the gun rack. The club member simply forgot to unload his rifle after a deer hunt, and was headed back to his pickup to unload gear, etc. and leave. He had to travel a short distance on a levee road to get back to his truck. And it just so happened that the GW saw him drive that short distance on the levee road. Yes, technically, it was a violation. And due to the cost of challenging the ticket, it was simply paid. And we still have the ongoing problems in the area with the poachers and theives. Game wardens won't help, and neither will the Sheriff's Dept. So, we may be taking matters into our own hands this season. There could be a killin' ---or at least a severe wounding. Those beaver traps can be a bitch.

You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

The problem alot of the time with this type of discussion is that there is no expression. Its hard to tell how to take things some people say in here because you can't read their body language. Take it for what its worth but alot of people here are way too touchy and need to take a step back sometimes instead of jumping in and putting their dukes up. Relax......
