i have hunted with just deeks on the pond and hunted with spinners and still can't tell the difference....to me u all r trying to ban technology, and everyone that hunts has something new in their bag. to me birds r smart and they learn well, and that is why technology comes up with all these new equipment.. i'm not rich and don't know anyone who is so all i hunt r wma's, and to limit me on what i can do on them, proposed to the guy next door who hunts private land and does what he wants... then that is a load of bull.

Stop skybusting, enforce a shell limit.

I am new to duck hunting, so bear with me till I understand all sides of this argument.....so if this is truly unfair and non-woodsman like .... why use decoys at all....a hunter should be where the ducks want to be; then, the hunter would be happy (right? just blow your duck call). What are the facts? Do you have any statistics to back up the above statements? I think game wise up to all techniques better than you think, and any new gimmick or toy only works as well as the user putting it to work in a good area. Oh yeah, if someone were shooting for 4 hours ... would they be over their limit?; Or just shooting pies out of the sky? I guess I need some educating before I jump on some bandwagon where my tax dollars are not being effectively utilized. I like getting out ... not being censored every turn. Starting to become REAL un-fun.

Ban spinners suites me but ban them everywhere in the state. Also as far as shell limits go make it simple and stick to 1 box (25)

I agree with you tote em out..everybody should be playing on an even field, and that is what I have said all along.

Whats wrong with duck hunting ? There are a number of factors:
a. the season is too long
b. there are too many hunters
c. the freeze line is above St Louis
d. farming in the Miss. delta has changed.
e. ducks are more nocturnal in their habits due to pressure from all the hunters.
f. what use to be habitat for ducks is met with unrelented gun pressure
and the extreme use of robo duck......... It needs to be banned in the US not only on WMA,s. Arkansas did and soon the real duck hunters will see that was the right decison.

I think if the robo duck is going to be banned then it should be banned completely throughout the flyway. That only seems fair to me but that's just my .2 cents.

When I first saw the robo 10 of 11 years ago I knew it would be the worst thing for duck hunting as a whole. With all the other factors that have infuenced current hunting opportunities we need to ban any spinning, gyrating, pulsating, stobe lighting decoy thru out the US...live decoys would not have caused this much damage to the SPORT of duck hunting. I'll sign any petition to eliminate this foulllll!

all of this is bs,the shell limit is crazy i have shot 5 times at a swimmer before. the average hunter has a 1to6 ratio that doesnt include swimmers. maybe a 25 shot count.mojos can be good and bad, but some of the calling you hear spooks more ducks than the olmojo..thats just my 2cents..

The problem on public lands is not spinners!

The problem is "ettiquette"... if a person gets up earlier than me and beats me to a spot on a 2 plus thousand acre impoundment then more power to that guy! Call me old fashioned, but I would simply go to another area. The only thing some numb-nuts will accomplish by going in and setting up 70-100 yards away from someone elses set-up is simply a crappy hunt for both parties.

I was not raised that way and there are some real assholes that make it difficult on the hard working duck hunters that don't mind getting up and working for a quality duck hunt!

Keep the spinners... keep Mahannah open to the public... just keep the sorry ass folks that show up late away from my spread!

Well, the MS legislature is in session. Any proposed statewide spinner bans in any bills? I took a look at the current bills lists and did not see one.

For those in favor of a statewide spinner ban, NOW is the time for some action. Talking and arguing about it on a duck message board won't get it done. There will need to be a bill originating in either the House, Senate, or both.

Some of you talk a good game, but can you step up when it really counts?

No bill, then no deal.

Some mighty fine whiskey, thank you. It opens and expands the mind.

I thought most here wanted to ban spinning wing decoys. To do so will require a state law ----- same as what happened in Arkansas. Why, I suppose someone could even use the same bill passed in Arkansas as a form for the MS bill --- with some slight modifications.
