I have also hunted in a flooded field off of the highway between C'ville and Bruce several times. The field backs up to the Skuna.

Crackhead I have spent way to many a night at Chevy's, but the one that beats them all is Tominello's in Greenwood. I had a running tab when I was 14. Took a friend there one night, only one person in my grade had a driver's license, he and I were ordering drinks, we looked up and sitting next to us was his seventh grade English teacher from Indianola. Man those were definitely places that I hope my kids never have the experiences I did. My motto to them, "Do as I say, not as I do"

That don't mean jack there. Still got to know what you are doing and where to go. 8) Some places you can't get to without permission from the private land owner whose land you have to cross. Be careful how you ask though. Ask the wrong way and he may knock your block off.

Don't worry Seymore, I rarely make it over to Grenada anymore and I have a few places in the Delta that provide great hunting without driving a boat through unfamiliar water and standing timber at 4:30 in the morning (even though that can be fun).

If I ever hunt Grenada again I am sure I will go to my old stomping grounds for nostalgia sake. You won't meet me in your duck hole(s).

It appears ya'll have a great place to hunt -- thanks for bringing the thread back up -- I am starting to hear wings overhead. Man, I can't wait til late November.

By the way, when I used to hunt the lake, our main kills would be mallards and wood ducks for the most part with a teal or two thrown in as well. As I stated above, I have also killed a canvasback or two and some redheads. It is obvious ya'll kill many mallards. Is that the main duck you kill nowadays on Grenada? I guess you would be hard pressed to kill a canvas or redhead in the timber anyway. Just curious.
