Why would anyone spend money on "leasing" a 1/2 interest in a duck hole? What would prevent the other 1/2 interest from getting pi$$ed and leasing his half interest out to 10-15 people, or better yet just let anyone that wants to hunt if for free? To many complications IMO.

It looks like Mr. Hoseman has spent some time and money putting up over 400 posted signs. I would be surprised if he put in some type of sofisticated survailance system in before next duck season to monitor his new duck holes.

Now we've all heard of the infamous "
el camino crew" but ifin these crazy coonarses get hold of just TWO acres of that land then watch out they are know to strap a fifty on the top of a chevy and mow down every truck and trailer they see near "their place" Let alone if they get it all.
God speed to the brave that venture into that place again.

That is a scary thought. Coon Asses in the Scatters. Do you think they will be wearing their beloved white boots and have an oyster knife in their back pocket?? It could get ugly.

Also known as "Westwego Rebocks" on the bayou.

Reintroduction of Ivory Billed Woodpeckers:
written by: Suresh Chawla
Former politician Delbert Hoseman's recently purchased 20 pairs of the endangered Ivory Billed Woodpecker. Mr Hoseman stated that he would be reintroducing these endangered birds in the Leflore County area. The woodpeckers are set to be released into the wild in June.
Mr Hoseman stated that he would start the reintorduction efforts in the area known as the "Scatters".. The "Scatters" are located near Money Ms. They encompass approxiamatley 1500 acres, and are a common hunting and fishing ground for many sportsmen.
Due to the reintorduction efforts all hunting for the 2005-2006 season will be suspended. MDWFP officals have allowed a 30 day comment period on the status of the closing..
Persons intrested in commenting on the closing can contact the MDWFP office in Jackson. The comment period will begin on May 1 2005.
