Polk's last year was his worst season and only year to finish with a overall losing record. He had taken the Dogs to the CWS the year before.
And he still won more SEC games that year than Cohen did this year.

Regarding scholarships......click on link below. It's an interview with Steve Smith who was just let go at Baylor after coaching their 21 years, this is an interview the local news did with him. Steve is a good friend of mine.....but I swear to you we have never had the conversation regarding the scholarship issue, but listen to what he has to say about scholarships, LSU and their $$$$, and he gave the same football analogy I always give.
I lived the scholarship issue, saw it in the locker room. Steve Smith lived it for 21 years at Baylor...Steve Smith is the winningest coach in Baylor history in any sport…...listen to his thoughts. I can rattle off 10 D1 coaches that I am personal friends with that will tell you the same thing Steve Smith says......yet Greenhead22 who worked in the registrars office one summer wants you to believe that scholarships don't matter. It's interesting to hear Steve's remarks about football as well and the new "cost of attendance checks" and how they will become an issue of separation in football....
Jump right to the 14 minute mark and listen

I read that Bama and Auburn's ADs are getting behind the scholarship discrepancy issue, too. I'm sure they don't know what they're talking about either. #MTAG=TOPS

I thought Steve Smith both times Polk was leaving....wonder is he done or will he find another HC job. Also see that Curry is now coaching in the college ranks.
