Here's the short and skinny version. One branch of Rankin Law enforcement was called by hotel staff worried about possible problems with this group. An officer of that branch was told to handle it, but not cause a scene. He called a few people who will remain nameless(so dont even ask). Here is what happened from there.
A couple of days before, one of them ran his mouth at a Brandon gas station and got his ass waxed. Police were called and the beaten man could not give much of a description of who beat him. When they canvassed the station and spoke to the large crowd that had gathered around, no one seemed to remember anything about what had happened.
Rankin County handled this thing perfectly. There were many things that were put into place that most will never know about and at great expense to the county.
Most of the morons never made it out of their hotel parking lot. It seems that certain Rankin county pickup trucks were parked directly behind any car that had Kansas plates in the hotel parking lot and the drivers mysteriously disappeared until after the funeral was over. Police were called but their wrecker service was running behind and it was going to be a few hours before they could tow the trucks so the Kansas plated cars could get out.
A few made it to the funeral but were ushered away to be questioned about a crime they might have possibly been involved in. Turns out, after a few hours of questioning, that they were not involved and they were allowed to go on about their business.
Rankin deserves a hand in how they handled this situation.

That dashboard video says it all. Awesome job Rankin Co. and thanks to everyone that is/was involved and thanks most of all to this young
man, his family, and all who serve us. I'm trying not to tear up at my desk but it's very difficult reading this and watching these videos.
Thanks to all those that "accidently" blocked those people in at their hotel. I'm glad we could show them some southern hospitality.
Makes me proud to be an American and a Mississippian.

That dash cam wasn't even saturday. That was friday from arriving at the airport and going to the funeral home. I'll try and post pictures or video of the funeral Saturday. I rode with the Patriot Guard and let me tell you, that was probably the most touching thing I've ever been a part of. He was a good friend of alot of my friends and I opted to ride with the PG instead(BC I dont do funerals real well)...let me tell you that alot of people that were apart of the PG were in awe of the support.
