after several days of reading this post i finally have to put my 2 nickels in here........


first let me start by saying I am not a member of either

I didnt see a to much about DW doing or not doing for me and you


I saw some post about DU fixing up someones PRIVATE land (800 ac.)

I also saw some post about habitat they have fixed up not clear if this is public or private land......

also saw a post about a biologist telling someone there are here for the $$$$$...

I also rember reading several years ago about DU building habitat for the Dahl sheep in Montana......well I dont know about Yall but I dont hunt Dahl sheep and of course I dont have 800 ac. for private hunting so I can get them to fix my own personal hunting club.....so I think I will keep my $$$$$ in my pocket and wait out the weather...........

du is run by incompetant people . We can thank them most of all for the decrease in duck numbers. They have lost the direction they had in the 70's to early 80's, after that the special interest got control. I found out later my money was going for private jets and box seats at Bears and Bulls <a href="http://go-advertising.com?go=games" onmouseover="window.status = 'goto: games';return 1" onmouseout="window.status=''">games</a>. Moving to Memphis did not help-[b]symbolism over substance[/b]. I may sound bitter because I am. We have not had good duck numbers in Mississippi or Arkansas over an entire season since the early 80's.

Beside that, du was the main lobbing firm in Washington that was working to take money out of the 2002 Farm Bill. It is sad to see people still support them when all they want is your money and have nothing to show for it and resent you asking them where the money goes.

This may not be well taken coming from a northener, but i have come to Mississippi for the last two years to hunt with some of the best people I've ever known, in the some of the best duck country I've ever known, and had some of the best duck hunting I've ever experienced in years when you guy's say it sucks, want to go on a sucky duck hunt..........come to Ohio!!!!!!!!!

Why don't y'all quit blaming DU & DW for the lack of birds, and start blaming other nature.

Decals!!!!!!!!Decals!!!!!!!Decals!!!!!!! That's what it's all about! Not the Hokey Pokey! It's the weather that influences things the most. Yes, there are too many resting places for the duckies. Let's lobby to be able to hunt on refuges on a rotating basis(not same one eyery year) to keep the ducks guessing where they will be safe as they are on to the safe area concept and do not move! Just wanted to see ducks this morning so I walk into Pearl River Refuge So that is what ducks look like. Been so long to see ducks in any number that I forgot. I guess I molested the ducks from their safe houses! Being on a local committe and being that DU helped put the damn thing in, I was checking on "OUR" investment!!!! Give it a rest and get out in the woods or marsh of your choice!!!!!!!
