After reading some of the rants on here I am really disturbed that some of our fellow MSDuckers would really take life so lightly that they would sling a baseball bat at someone’s head for slowing down their day.

Think about it. If you pull out the towing mirror and hit someone or if you just don’t give space, then that is what you have done. Would you really ride through the delta and follow a tractor, wait until the driver pulled over and sling a bat at their head? Of course you would not, that would be a crazy action. An action that will land you in jail. Well pull out the mirror and that is what you have done. You won’t hurt someone, you will KILL THEM!!

Use a little patience. After all it is a federal bike way. If you can’t drive less than 50 MPH and observe the rules of the park then you need to find another route. I assure you the park rangers are not playing.

With that said I would like to invite everyone on this board who does not ride to come out for the Natchez trace century ride and enjoy the trace they way it was designed to be use. For the recreation and enjoyment of the citizens of this country.

You’re welcome to ride any bike that you have or can borrow. If you try it you may like it. If that is not your idea of a good time then please respect the hundreds of folks that will be riding that day.

Hell if your a newbie I got two extra I will loan for the day.

Please remember killing someone is not worth the a few minutes of delay. Instead enjoy the scenery of the trace. It is really nice if you take a moment to notice.

I'll be the first to admit i've had my share of temper tantrams over some damn bikers on 463 and Bozeman road, but I've since learned to slow down and enjoy the scenerie. yes I know I can't spell

some one post the pick of that drunk mexican running over all those cyclist in the ford ltd. i know its terrible but its funny in a sick twisted way.

I am going down to caroline this weekend hopefully, and I will have to look for some of those cyclist like chopper mentioned

A few years ago some democrat robbed the bank and took off on a bicycle. He was apprehended a few miles down the road after the polease ran em off in the ditch.

I remember the first bike I saved up for on my own. It was smoke chrome diamondback viper with badarse see through hand grips. Me and my buddies would build all kinds of sweet jumps and if there was a pond being dug we'd ride the dirt mounds. We'd ride all over town and for most of elementary and middle school that bike was my ride to and from school. Dad told me when I saw a car coming to pull over and get out of the road.

That's all of my bike stories.

It don't bother me if folks out there walking and enjoying themselves. Come ride the Vicksburg Military Park and at anytime when your descending down a hill at 30+ mph and you look ahead and a group of walkers or runners up there blocking the road you have no option but to slow down quickly and go at turtle pace for a while.

I have a friend that is a trace officer, he cant stand the bike riding either. They get hundreds of calls a month on both sides but he says that the bikers bitching is much worse than the drivers. He says, if the bikers would just ride single file that 90% of the problems would end, but for some reason they feel the need to take the entire lane.

Why cant bikers stop at stop signs???? Turn signals??? . if you are going to ride on the road and want respect, then abide by the laws!!! If you you can't go the posted speed, stay off the damn road

where just upholding the One percent thing....


Its law but like alot of people the law's are for others. I stop and I even give Arm signals...sometimes finger signals too.
