seems to me its either racist or its not, care to explain?

Informed= True statement. Oprah is a racist and hates white folks.

Un-informed= Just racial slander. Accusation of watermelon stealing, porch sitting, malt liquor drinking, cotten picking, non-working, leach to society, or any statement that can't be backed by proof. Note that informed can also fit into informed class with little research to prove fact.

Hell I don't know.
I do know that the media is the largest racial stirrer period. The media as a hole even has Oprah beat.

agree there...we''ll never achieve full "intergration" or "equality" as long as the media keeps making the distinction

case in point Tony Dungy...was asked what it was like to be the first AA coach to win the Super Bowl, he said he never really looked at it that way and that it felt like he won the Super Bowl

He has a terribly tough job ahead of him.....BUT he is still young, an not experienced, and people are going to use him to "feather their own nests", push their own agendas (Rev. at the Benediction saying, let the White Man do whats right man, inferring that he has/still is doing wrong), etc.

This election and his campaign was about electing a new president, not electing a Black President.... Yesterday, whoever put together the event, and particularly the MEDIA pushed the fact that this was a historic day, only because he is one-half Black. Shame on them. and I agree we should all be ashamed for our ignorant racist remarks. I am not ashamed of our "informed" Racist remarks, though.

Well said. I'll add that he disrespected George Bush in his speech numerously and the media was extremely disrepectful to George Bush in their comments all day yesterday. They let George Bush end his presidency giving him no respect or honor.

Oh and by the way, i do appreciate your service soldier and appreciate and support your efforts and our troops efforts around the world to give us the opportunity to do exactly what we are doing at this moment........but I have to say by to you Sgt. Lundsford and thanks for coming. Obama is more dangerous than you can imagine to the future of our country and his race has nothing to do with that. He doesn't know anything about our troops, what they are going through, or fighting actually fighting and serving for our country. He has everyone fooled that supports him. I have to support him now and respect him as our President, but it scares me that that man is our Commander In Chief! What character? What leadership? What wisdom? All he did was surround himself with the right people, went to college, and became a politician. He didn't serve our country in a branch of the military. Lead a platoon on a tour. Follow a platoon on a tour. Sweat and endure boot camp. Go out of the country away from his family to fight for our freedom. What has he done? Not chit! He hasn't done anything to serve anyone! He isn't serving us now! He is living like a rockstar! Living the true black american african kenyan american dream! Thats it! Wake up! I've had a dream before myself. I wished this campaign was one of them. i just can't believe that people have bought this guys CRAP. America for the most part has been sold Barck Hussein Obama, hook, line, and sinker. I can't even believe that you, Sgt. Lundsford, could even comment positively about this man. I mean that would be like me playing high school baseball for a man that has never even played an inning in his life! Yes, i would respect him. He is a man, an elder, and my coach. But how could i ever agree with him or think for a second that he is the right man for the job or knew what he was doing just because he sold himself to the high school and made them think he was qualified just because he watched some baseball on tv. If I was a soldier thats how i would feel. All that being said.....yes he is to be respected. But as Americans, we have every right not to agree with or like him and what he does. We don't even have to like him if we don't want to.

Just read on MSN our President has frozen all White House Staff personel with salaries over $100,000 from recieving bonuses. The Prez said we all have to "tighten our belts." He also has put some monetary limits on gifts from lobbiest. He might not know a platoon from a squadron but he is cutting costs and applying some basic moral ethics.

Chadrideduck....just wondering... Do you fell like every president should have some extensive military duty behind them?

Obama's administration was already in action Tuesday, ordering a 120-day halt to prosecutions of suspected terrorists at the U.S. prison camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to review the military commissions that try them.

Papers filed at the U.S. prison camp said the request is made "in the interest of justice and at the direction of the president of the United States."

The president also is expected to order a reversal of the Bush administration's so-called "Mexico City" policy, which prohibits U.S. money from funding international family planning groups that promote abortion or provide information, counseling or referrals about abortion services.

~Heck...don't waste any time....

Cutting the bonus is a good step.. I would also venture to say that 100k in DC aint a whole lot of money compared to here. Heck a 1500 sq foot house up that way probably runs you 300k.. I know we have people that work for our company that live up that way. They make way more than I do.. But it is because they are in a pay market A and we are a pay market C down here.

Actually, right after I got done writing that post, I told a guy here at work that I think it should be a requirement, for the President to have some military background. That is only a part of his job, but it is a very large part, and I feel that hands on experience, and "being in the trenches" if you will, would make any President better and more qualified to do his job. And yes, the President does serve us as a country, but it is still a JOB. And with every job, comes qualification. I think that military experience better qualifies him for his job as our COMMANDER in Chief.

Let me tell you guys something, including the good Sgt.(and I'm a vet, too, btw)...the whole damned election, inaugaration, etc. absolutely reeked with racism, and that's the way the media, the liberal politicians, and especially the blacks wanted it....blacks will NEVER let go of it because they don't want it to go away....whining and complaining about racism has become their full-time mantra....I'll bet, if you send them a full-sized 24 carat gold monkey, in the mail each month, blacks will bitch because the monkey doesn't sing rap music....how long and how much apologizing, sucking up, and paying out must the white man continue to do, to appease blacks for slavery, which NEVER affected a single one of them???....damn, what else do they want???....name one damn thing that blacks have whined about that the government hasn't given them....go ahead, try to name something.....if you say "respect", well I'm sorry to tell you that "respect" must be earned....now that they've finally got one of their own(well, actually only 1/2 black) in the whitehouse, maybe they'll shut the fnck up!!!....on a side note, I pay $3,800 per month to keep my dad in a nursing home, while the black guy in the bed next to him stays FREE just because he's black and has been on welfare most of his life...guys, this $#!+ has got to stop, but Hussein Obama isn't gonna take a second glance at the white working class people.
I DARE a black person to come up to me, and complain about a damn thing, now!!!

Btw, just wondering, Sarge, what's your MOS?....what's your company designation?....where did you do your boot time?....thanks for your service....I sure woulda liked to have heard someone say "thanks soldier", but I came outta the Vietnam era, and as everyone knows, that wasn't a "real war", right???

You hit the nail on th ehead with that post. And Thank You for your service to our nation.

Yeah he is our president, and I hope he does a great job because it can get worse than it is now.

Stick around, Jake. We need more 'thinkers' on this site. I appreciate your stance on the subject....and your outlook, in gerneral.

As far as President Obama goes.....I hope he is successful in making a positive impact. I don't care if he's purple.

As far as racists go........whenever I let an inkling of a racist thought creep into my head, I always stop and say to myself, "It'd be my luck.....I'll die and think I'm going to heaven.....only to get there and find-out God is black."

Regardless of how lowly you regards others.......they are human, too.......therfore consider yourelf (no one in particular) blessed if you are half the person you think you are.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Jake. Even puppies take note after an older dog issues a correction. Eventually they learn what is acceptable and what isn't. No correction - no teaching = no learning.
