Looks great but have one suggestion though, tape the tag of the crimps to the line with black duct tape. The tag ends tend to get hung up alot to me,if you trim them at the crimp it seems to weaken your pull strength at the crimp.

Went to my local Wal-mart today to get some crimps and supplies to do the job, well needless to say, they had almost nothing, no crimps or weights. I was looking for the Egg sinker style. So I went to Home depot, hoping to find something to use as some crimps, but no luck. While I was there, I did find some dark green color weed-eater line that would work great. Also, instead of using black tape to cover up crimps, I got some heavy duty shrink wrap to use. It's going to work much better, combined with tape too, should be bullet proof.

I used my texas rigs today for the first time. 12 thumbs up!! Go out quick, and come in really fast without getting your hands wet!! I did have a couple of minor tangles but that was because mine were not in a bag. They got tossed around in the back of the truck with the dog stepping on them. Took me about a minute or so to straighten them out. Highly recommend tieing the knot at the bottom and top to keep the lines from tangling......Oh, and the heavy line doesn't float so don't be to concerned about colors.

So what do you do with carbiner clip after you toss out the dekes? I just clipped it around my lanyard. Going to paint them brown or black however.

Any ideas on where to get a big mouth bag?

So where can you find crimps locally without having to order. Walmart doesnt have much. Also any place to buy the 300 lb mono without having to order? What about Bass Pro? Looks like a great idea.

Look for Marlin line anywhere that sells saltwater fishing stuff. They should have crimps that will work, too.
