IF you have a Ford f150 or f250 its just a matter of time WHEN you are going to get hit.
Esp. if you park anywhere on the I-55 corridor btwn county line road and I-20.

Thats exactly right. I have taken everything out of my truck that i think is valuable. Just a bunch of crap in there now. Hopefully next time they break into my truck they'll steal the damn thing.....

Some JA tried to do the "under the handle trick" to my '03 Z71 a few years back in ATL, but someone or something must have scared them off because nothing was taken. I didn't even know you could get into a truck like that until then. Now I have a cute dimple under the door handle ready of the next attempt I guess....
Seems like the automakers could prevent this given the # of vehicles it is happening to recently.

Unfortunately, No. That particular circumstance is not covered by Castle.
It's covered when you tell them he carjacked you and you shot his ass. Who do you think they'll believe when everyone saw him driving a hunting truck?

That's funny....I had a young (14-16ish) non-swimmer with shotty clothes on walk by me in the bass pro parking lot the other day.....he definitely looked out of place. I was parked on the North end not too far from those storage containers that fit on 18 wheelers. He came from near them. It was 2 weeks ago to be exact.
On another note, we need to figure out some trigger device with remote control and one that only arms itself using the remote. Then when one steals a truck detonate the sucker.....not only will it solve the thief problem...you can just trail the smoke cloud.

or better yet wire you up about 10,000 volt to the door handle that only works when it is locked and if he tries then just scoop up the ashes....

Your right about I-55. There are more unreported robberies, stolen vehicles, and purse snatchings in the Kroger parking lot, Maywood Mart, and Highland Village than any other part of town. i think the easy access to get the hell out of town or to the hood on I-55 or Northside Drive is tghe attraction.

Went into that Kroger on I55 yesterday for groceries since we were on that side of town. They have a friggin' Sheriff's Dpt. sub station IN the Kroger. Now that's just pitiful. Note that will be the last time we shop there.

I have a F150. I'm disgusted to know how easy it is to break in it.
However, I'm still laughing a the blue heeler cheeseburger repellant post......cheeseburger repellant.....now thats funny right there.

By the way. I'd probably call the Sheriff's dept and let them know the serial number of the stolen pistol as well. As much as JPD cared about your truck, I doubt they did what they were supposed to do with the serial number either.
Reminds me of when a rental car got broken into in Memphis. An officer wrote the report, but that is about it. I couldn't even get a copy of the police report without sending them 15 dollars. I told them I had already been robbed once.

ive got a 99 f150, all you have to do is bump the sliding glass door one good time and it comes open. I dont keep anything in my truck anymore.
