IF it were not for the good grub at the camp amd the cold beer and whikey I would have to rate it a 0, I have had one decent hunt and it was not even on our lease.

All in all a 2

7 on the scale of hunts. Add another Jack Miner to the lanyard bumps it to a 8.5.

I'd have to say 5. I've been a total of 5 times and have killed a total of 34 ducks. Not the worst year I've had, but by no means the best.

I give the hunting a 7. We have killed a fair number of birds. Several days with limits. The good thing has been that unlike most places we are mainly seeing mallards. Some hunts we have had to work really hard for birds and others have been super easy.

I give the season a 9 only due to it was my dogs first season and he has made me proud. He only has 27 retrieves on him as of now, but he has pulled off some great ones. He has done 2 200+ yard blinds that I wasnt sure if he would take the casts before sending him and he knocked them out of the park. He has made my season, not the ducks.

Im still hopefull for the next few weeks though. This cold weather cant do anything but help.

3.75

only that high because 2 of us limited out before 7 one morning with mallards and gadwalls and 3 of us limited out by 8 one morning with mallards and gadwalls

The rest have been days of 4 or 5.

It is only good to a topwater when the shooting is fast and the ducks are steadily pouring in.

Rate it a 3 for the first half of season. Have not even seen many ducks past the opening weekend. Also only a 3 rating on the expensive guided hunt that I took my kids to in Arkansas.
