you know...all it takes is five seconds to read the season dates. whether it was an honest mistake or not they should have know. period. maybe the game warden was just being a peepee, which some of them in that area can be, but he was just doing his job.

think of it this way...they won't be hunting there the rest of this season so thats more room and ducks for all of us!!!!!!

Why does the game warden have to be a peepee???? Sounds like someone has had a run in or 2 with the game warden and he's not happy... :(

I really feel sorry for those guys. I do all my homework but I'm glad I had to work.I did forget it was closed. If not for work I would had hunted. I really can't understand why everyone is glad they got busted! I think it was silly to have it closed for one day anyway!

My .02 cents

Plain and simple...know the damn dates...my gawd men...the wardens are doing their job. I just grew up knowing that it was understood that you know your game, its bag limits, and when you can hunt it. I am sorry I have no remorse for any of these guys. I can gurantee it was a mistake...I don't really care though. You hunted out of season...take your ticket and go home.

Sheez.

Let the game wardens handle the situation. Before its all said and done the story will be 15 boats, no 20 boats, 200 birds. I dont post alot but I have heard enough about the break. However I will say its too close to Christmas for something like this to happen to some people, even worse for those college age guys that got busted. But drop it and lets move on. I'm no CSI DuckBreak but frankly I dont give a crap. No offense to anyone I know everyone has heard something and wants to know more but there are 52 days of duck season left and lets make the most of it and be glad we are not one of those guys. Thats all, have a good day

Um...yes father...

And Kelly...that's trademarked...you might want to watch using that phrase.

I have had a warning about it from a moderator. :D

i had to chime in on this one. i am not a NEWBY by a long shot but just listen more than talk on the site.
these boys knew exactly what they did or they would have brought the dang ducks to the ramp with their CHEST out :!: :!: saying look at how many ducks we got today. the intial post said they came to the ramp without their ducks and you know what that was about.
if they use the same ole excuse "well we made a mistake" then that will let the next group of OOS's or locals for that fact come in and try to get away with the same thing.

no the rules and play by the rules or don't play :!: :!:

You boys are pretty quick to cast the first stone arent you?

There is no way that many people went to the Brake, parked at the ramp and hunted, Knowing the season was closed. Boys made a mistake! Thats all. Seems like it would be pretty easy to do.

Lodi, I must have struck a nerve. Is one of the violators related to you? Why would you call a man nasty words for informing other ethical hunters of the bad seeds that are giving the sport we love a bad name? Not sure what your beef is with me. If you truly love to duck hunt and respect the laws, you should not get so upset. If the Boys made a mistake and you know the truth, please clear this up for all of us. I see you did not dispute my original description of the event.

How many got busted and not one of them bothered to check the season.  I can't believe it to be an honest mistake if more than 2 or 3 got caught. The original post said locals were involved which means they should have definitely known.

I have found Game Warden for the most part to nice and helpful. They are doing a job and it is not that difficult to be legal in what we do. There are more than enough opportunities to hunt in this state for someone to even consider doing it illegal. That being said an honest mistake can happen now and then, but, something like this I don't think was a mistake.
