I tell ya the nerve some of these game wardens have.

I mean geez the audacity that someone would actually try to do their job

Some of the negative attitudes round here are the very ones that want Missa Game Wawden to come out and handle their problems as soon as something isnt going right or someone is botherin Them while they are hunting.

Game Wardens are Evil

Rippy,

Get real... man i cant believe you posted that. you should be a cop for just one week and see what you have to put up with. You will realize real fast that no one is really your friend until they need you and it is conveient for them. These guys work hard and you say the badge has gone to their head. If you want to be a warden for $25-$30k per year then go to the State personel board they are hiring. Starting pay $22k per year with 2 years of college and passing the LE Academy damn that is at the poverty level... I am not saying what happened here is right or wrong because I dont know but you shouldnt be bashing the GWs. They are like all other cops nobody wants them until they need them and nobody wants them messing with them. Go mess with someone else. We want justice just dont mess with our son that toots a little coke or our cousin that no one likes to talk about with the meth lab or uncle johnny for shooting deer at night. We want the law to be enforced but not when it affects us. That is the reason after 8 years I got out of Law enforcement. You just think about it, would you bust down a door of a crazed meth head that has been up for a week with assault weapons? Would you chase a drunk headlighter with a 30-06 for $22k per year would you?? I am not trying to pick a fight with anyone but my God your post was overboard....

I think there some peeps trying to ruffle your feathers. Think I would let the dead dog lie cause you know they still gone keep kicking. I do my job and if I piss you off, I won't loose any sleep over it. If you do right you don't have nothing to worry about. I don't always choose to do right, but I pay my ticket and roll on when I get caught.
On the other hand there is SOB fresh from school in SouthEast MO that I would love toss in the river if give the opportunity. Biggest geek you ever met in your life and now mofo is Barney Fife on steriods.

I tell ya what Rippy why dont you go be a GW, cop, HWY Patrolman or any law enforcement officer in the state for 2weeks and we will see how well you handle yourself

These guys do it day in and day out and often work holidays, opening weekends of hunting seasons ect..... I mean dont you think they would like to take thier kids hunting on opening day? Not to mention every hunter they walk up on has a gun. Maybe its time for you to put yourself in thier shoes for a day or to
Life is to short to only fish on weekends

HES YOUR FRIEND UNTIL HE SITES YOU FOR SOMETHING. THAT GOES FOR GW, HWY PATROL AND CITY COPS WE ALL SAY MAN HE WAS NICE, THEN THERE IS ANOTHER GUY SAYING MAN HE IS A BUTT, HE GAVE ME A TICKET FOR GOING 50 IN A 35. never had a problem with a game warden, in fact I have been put on to some very good spots to hunt by a few.
JJ

Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a Lab he'll tell you, if he does not you don't want to shame him by asking.

Most of the game wardens I've met or known were dedicated professionals that were doing their jobs - enforcement - and were likeable, level-headed fellas. I've known several that handed hunters ink pens for unsigned waterfowl stamps. Many times when they walk onto a baited field, the field has already been documented as baited. Warden steps out of the bushes and asks how many ducks you have, you can be pretty sure that he knows full well how many times you've shot, what you've hit, what you've recovered, and what you did with them. It's a tough job, ranks highest among divorce rates; takes a special attitude to do it fairly and safely. I agree that pay should be much higher. As far as tickets - I've never gotten a speeding ticket I didn't deserve. No sense giving the fella a hard time for doing his job when I was doing 60 in a 45.

Never had too much trouble out of a GW and I respect and appreciate everything that they do. But I put allot of money into a field and I don't let anyone else drive on it so what makes it ok for GW's to drive on it. Not saying that this has ever happened but if it did I would be pretty upset.

I understand what your saying but think about it this way GW must check the field to make sure its legal...I'd rather him drive for 5 minutes in a dry field than spend 45 minutes walking it.. I've never seen anyone drive onto a wet/muddy field before either.
