I bought some and found that I had a big mess in a matter of minutes, not worth $60 so I took it back. Most layout blinds have straps for attaching native vegetation. Use some of whatever you are hunting around it will look the best. I've also found that every ditch in MS has some good looking grasses growing on the edge of it, just cut a pile of that and you are in business.

Tie the "killer weed" type stuff onto bungee cords, and keep them in the blind. Use them as a base, and then top dress with a little local stuff. It will save you much time, and your blinds won't be a tangled raffia mess.

I was wondering if anyone had used the Columbia Omni Tech Parka? A friend of mine offered to sell me his brand new parka for really cheap because he only uses Drake and I wanted to know if Columbia is any good or not.

Yes....buy it. I've used Hydro-fleece, hydro-suede, and Omni.

My wife likes drake stuff too (like your buddy).

But if the Omni is a good buy.....you can't go wrong. There are some features on the Columbia gear that I prefer over the Browning Hydro. The zippers on the liners all tend to go-out after minimal usage, but other than that, I've had no problems with the Columbia jackets. They are not as quiet as Hydro, but who needs that when you're duck hunting (unless you don't want your gunning partner to hear you shoulder your gun before you call the shot......

If you're not interested in the coat, and it's MOBU in a Large, I would be interested in it. I've got Shadowgrass and want a BU, too.
