I would like to appoligize publicly to both Wingman, SB or any other law enforcement officer on this board. I certainly did not mean for my post to be a slap at game wardens. I was just stating what one game warden had told my wife and I. Whether he actually did what he said he did or not I don't know for sure because I didn't witness it. I was just going on what he said. He could have just been flirting with my wife and trying to make what he thought was a good impression, I don't know. BTW, my wife is pretty damn good looking lady. 8) Lucky me. But still, I think it was very unprofessional to brag to someone he didn't know about his ticket writing exploits. That aside, I would like to appoligize to all of the law enforcement officers that come to this forum. I know that one mans actions doesn't mean that all are the same. Thank y'all for the job that you do.

You dont have to appoligize for the actions of an "turd-cutter". I took no offense from it, you have people who would rather hurt people instead of trying to help them. Don you kow as good as i do they will try to slip up on you and get shot by a hunter shooting at crippled mallard. No law officer should take that offensive if I dont nobody should. I have been a law officer for almost 10 years

IMO if you break a game law then you should expect a ticket for it, no matter what it is. Nothing chapes my booty more than going to a local park to train the dogs and see ing 25 of Memphis finest parked around the pond fishing for anything that will bite the hook. I asked one of them if they had a state fishing license one time and she said "I ain't got to have cause the law ain't gonna check me here"

If you can't follow the rules, then don't get upset if you get caught. Everybody's got a story...EVERYBODY! Who in here can't think of an excuse in 10 seconds as to why they were doing 75 in a 55 when the highway patrol pulls them over? It's the same way with wildlife law enforcement.

No license? Oh, I understand, it's on your dresser at the house or I see, you didn't realize it expired 5 months ago.

Over limit on birds? Yeah, me too, I was never good with math.

Shooting 30 minutes late? No problem. Sunrise and sunset varies from day to day and after all, who really keeps up with that stuff anyway?

No life jacket? Don't worry, I really don't mind spending 2 days dragging for you in the river.

It really doesn't matter the circumstance, everybody that gets a ticket can thing of a reason as to why they shouldn't have gotten one, and some blame the officer for actually doing their job.

After all, officers should spend more time catching outlaws and less time harrassing law-abiding folks, right?

To answer your question, I think that people breaking offenses should be ticketed, but my whole rant was in reference to the different interpretations of the law. For instance saying that a license was needed to work a dog on a duck hunt while having no part of the shooting. I personally think that is wrong. I will just leave it alone.
