First off, the pictures were taken down because they were pulling off my girlfriends server. She's the one that took them down, not me.

Okay, here's an update for you, as well as a more in-depth explanation. I'm sure some of you will rip apart what I have to say, no matter what it is, and that's fine. Most of you have taken my words, and twisted them into what ever your delusional minds wanted them to be.

Yes, I had been looking for wood ducks to raise. However I had NOT been sitting around waiting to see if a wood duck was going to walk up into some ones yard so that I could catch it, nor have I been out in the woods trying to find some to capture. Attempting to make it sound that way is just ridiculous!

I would honestly hope that NOONE would have enough free time on their hands that they would do such a thing! I should also say that I would never take any baby animal away knowing full well that its mother was close by! When it comes to a wild animal, obviously they are better off in the wild, with their mother, but I knew that I wasn’t going to leave them on a busy highway to fend for them selves! It just wasn’t going to work out well for them in the end.

At least this way I feel like I have done all that I could to give them a shot at living. You can tell me I’m wrong for doing that if you’d like, I really don’t care. I know that I would have done the very same thing regardless of whether it was a duck, goose, bird, rabbit, stray dog, you getting it, it wouldn’t have matter what type of animal it was. If it was in danger, and I knew that I could give it a little better chance at survival, I would have done it.

Someone said ‘they got there somehow’. Yes, you're correct, but you tell me how. I'm sayin, this is the city, not the country! There is NO water within 15 miles of the place (unless you count the city sewer plant), nor is there any wood land.
You can call me any name that you would like to call me. I'll tell you now, from you doing that, the only thing I would go back and change about this whole situation is I would have never signed up to be a part of this board! It's truly amazing to me how some of you have responded! I have read through some of these posts, and at one time thought rather highly of some of you but now I wouldn’t piss on if you were on fire 

I may not be the brightest person when it comes to raising animals, but I knew for a fact that people around me would know what to do. Amanda has raised everything from wild rabbits, to coons, to birds, to freakin’ deer, and has yet to lose any of them. I’ve literally seen her bring a dead animal back to life. I was shocked, and a little frightened of her after she did that, but she has proven to me time and time again that she knows what she is doing, and she just has a knack for doing it!

The babies (still not sure what kind they are) are all still alive (yes, all 4 of them) and have been turned out (still not sure where some of you got that I had plans to keep them in a cage in my living room) with other animals. They come up every night with the other animals to eat and then they go back to playing.

Thanks for the input from those who actually had something to say!! It helps to know that some of you would have done the same thing I did!!

Oh…. I almost forgot…The guys that posted their numbers…. Just out of curiosity, what did that prove?? That you are tough men? Hiding behind a phone is really no better than hiding behind the net! Just a ‘for future reference’ thought for ya ;)
And lets not for get the old sayin’ “Arguing on the internet is like winning the Special Olympics, even if you win”….. Well, you know how it goes 

Now, feel free to quote me line by line and try to ‘bust me out’ on something that is NOT has NOT been there to begin with!

Ruger0771 you are a better man than I am, I'm man enough to take an ass kicking, I would of invited them to be man enough to give one!

Seriously I think they just got caught up in the moment with the idiot, moron, and dumbass name calling. Most times you will get great information from this board and the folks on this board.

I hope you will stick around!

Ruger...first let me say that im glad the ducklings are okey, so far. Next, you have ta understand that picking em up is ILLEGAL. NOBODY is gona condone something against the law around here...wether its picking up dux, driving drunk, or two guys gettin married...I also know that there are exceptions to every rule. If you feel gettin em up was the thing to do, then you may very well be right. However, in my opinion...you need to try ta find somebody to take them that has the authority to do so. Y'all have a nice day!

ruger0771, hang in there, man! Some of these guys just get up on the wrong side of the bed some days. Look at it like this...you may have kept them from beating up their old lady or kids by letting them whup on you on the internet.

But, you think this is something, you should have said something about those ducks being against the war in Iraq or them being religious ducks! Folks get really stirred up about some of that stuff!

We're just a bunch of galoots on here, anyway!

First post:

I'm all excited about this cause I have been trying to find some wood ducks for our daughter for the last 3 months.

Anyway, I show them to Amanda(my girlfriend), who busts out laughing and says "hun, I'm pretty sure that's a goose"

Now she has been a "farm girl" all her life, and should know what she is talking about, but at the same time, she likes to give me a hard time, so I'm not sure if she's serious or not! :x

ANY input on what you think these things might be would be great!! I want to know if they are going to honk or quack! Thanks is advance!! :D

If you buy the second one, I have some prime duck land 300 miles due south of Jackson ready for just the right lessee(sp).

I'm prolly gonna take a few hits fer bein a peckerwood on this one, but what he said first is not what he claims in the well thought out damage control post. Sure, what he says there is cool, but it's NOT what he said before the dookie hit the fan.

I will be more than glad to give my adress too! And I was not joshing about trying to see you get your ass Busted by MDWFP's. You were wrong and you know it. Now I will back off and explain. Lets take TJ's case with the bear in point. Did he try to release the bear? NO. Did HE try to keep the bear. NO. They called the right people. The bear was handled as it should be and is wiser not to end up in any more hog traps.

As for your girl friend raising all sorts of animals. Great, but she ain't suposed to keep a fawn either. I had the pleasn't experence of haveing to rescue a fawn from someone that thought they could do that one time also. I took it away from her as the fawn had not eaten or drank for a full day. It was not weened. Luckly I go to church with a vet and I rescued the fawn got it to her. She had to give it an iv due to this girl stupidity and then it was placed with the MDWFP's in a rehab program.

I said before you should have watched from afar. If it apeared they would not make then get on this board and notify SB or Wingman. They would have known what to do and would have gladly helped. This would have been the proper action.

Now I hope you do better in the future and welcome to the board. And no leaving my name and number was not a trip to be a bad ass as I am not, but a show of faith that I'm not going to hide behind my computer to call an idiot and idoit!
