B&G, Enjoyed the informative read. If the last one was killed in the '10s '20s, how can we get in trouble for killing that which does not exists:? Just a thought!

My dad saw a cougar north of Meridian in the early 1980's. Grandmother saw it too. I have never known them to makeup stories.

i asked a wildlife biologist at the national forest i worked at this summer about this subject and he said that the last official record of a wild panther in the area was in Catahoula Parish in louisiana, i have seen cat tracks personally that i thought where too big to be bobcat tracks and another person said they had seen a panter in the exact same spot, this was around Roxie.
