I don't keep records yet so this can't be all that accurate but here's an estimate:
Since Sept. 1 @40 days conservately
80 birds including:
Blue wings, green wings, canada geese (ross barnett subspecies, and delta catfish pond subspecies) specks, mallards, greydux, woodies, and widgeon.
Also saw the brother-in-law ugly to death a bootlip.
Will remember the swim I took on the last day for a while   and the hole I tore in the waders on the way in one morning. That resulted in a wet booty till we got out around 11:00. :?

first time in 9 years I didn't go a single time. Thats quite a change from the 35-40 hunts I made last year.

hunting morning and afternoon you can do it. morning duck holes and hunting fish ponds in the aftternoons. This is counting shovelers and bluebills and ruddy ducks and ringnecks and coots. We didn't kill but 38 coots though. Those were some idiots from the great state of California. The had never seen a coot.

what is this a peter measuring contest. These numbers are from a guide service. Some mornings we may have not killed but one or two mallards or gads or teal, but we wore pond ducks out in the afternoon. You got to understand 90% of the people that hunt with me just want to hear their gun fire. The don't care what kind of duck it is. I youst to measure my season on mallards and gadwalls, but now it is on anything. If you drove through the delta and saw the number of ducks on fish ponds you would see there were ducks here. I bought 4 dozen bluebill decoys and 4 dozen shovelers and mixed in a few mallards and you can wear them out on a fish pond. People thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

In the afternoon it was clean ponds. The power blind by avery. It has little slits you can slide grass into to make it match the bank. Lay out blinds are the ticket if you have people that can shoot out of them. Alot of people don't like to shoot out of them or either they fall asleep.
