That's a great point. I can tell you from my experience I have seen porn ruin many more families than homosexuality.Deltamud77 wrote:I wonder if being gay is worse than looking at porn? In God's eyes it is not,I don't think.
I think the answer here is addressing a person that struggles with either, acknowledging the struggle is real and telling them, "hey, you get enjoyment from this lifestyle...let me show you something that is even better."
This is when you show them God through scripture via the Gospel. Let the Holy Spirit work from there and pray for them.
I don't think you convince a person struggling with any sexual sin that it's not enjoyable simply by pointing out it's wrong. You have to show them something better and trust God to handle it from there.

I think that it all depends on how you look at Holy Bible.
Example:
Slavery is morally reprehensible in all situations.
The Bible allows slavery, and as Exodus 21:20–21 says, “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.”
Therefore the Bible is an unreliable moral guide.
OR........
The Bible is a reliable moral guide.

Therefore slavery cannot be morally reprehensible in all situations, and it is God's will that you may beat your slaves as long as they can get back to work in a day or two.
Any thoughts?

For the sake of discussion- how about the divorced folks that were not sexually unfaithful or were not yolked up to a non-believer- are the folks that divorce and remarry because they can't get along for whatever reason just as detestable as the homosexuals?davidees wrote:Divorce is permissible if a spouse is unfaithful. Divorce is also authorized if an unbelieving spouse abandons a believer according to 1 Corinthians 7:15.gps4 wrote:does it have to be porn....Deltamud77 wrote:I wonder if being gay is worse than looking at porn? "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Jesus Christ- Matthew 5:28
Also, wonder if being gay is worse than being divorced/remarried?
"Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her; 12 and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery."Jesus Christ- Mark 10:11-12
Adultery is on the Top Ten list, yet, how many of us would allow a divorced/remarried friend in their home, but not the gay friend?
