I just heard the announcer say they brought sanity back to baseball....2 homers in 10 CWS games to me ain't sanity...it's farkin boring
I can't watch another 1-0 or 2-1 game, it sux. These dead bats or soft balls, or something has got to go! I realize MSU benefitted from the aforementioned scenario, but LSU was punished by it. UCLA is gonna win it all with their chickennuggetshe-it small ball crap, and they're ain't a single pro team that plays like that. So why should it be promoted in the NCAA? A team batting average under 300 and they're gonna win it or come damn close...40,000 students at that school and they can't get two thousand fans to ANY of their home games, in sunny California! Why? Nobody wants to watch that small ball junk. I'll watch State as long as their in it, but I'm not wasting any more time with this BS. Maybe there's a rerun of two and a half men on or something....

In regards to the "dead bats" and the "small ball", that's actually the way the game was intended to be played. Baseball is a thinking man's game. These kids will be playing with even deader bats if they play past college. This should help them. If nothing else, it makes it safer so folks don't get kilt by line drives and such. I don't mind the bats at all.

Furthermore, even with the dead bats there's guys with 15+ home runs

david, the point is, leave college "college". honestly, i don't give a gallon of donkey dicks if the first sumbitch on this tv makes it past jennyhairyassed-A ball. I also don't give two squirts of monkey piss if some old, fat, "@#$%#" with a gun finds some diamond in the rough. people that "think" baseaball is a thinking man's game didn't play past high school. this ain't chess, it's ball........and david, chicks dig the LONG ball.
i'm sick and damned tired of this pansy-azzed $#!+..........pitchers are tossing up rag balls for these guys to hit, some punk with a flat brim chunking 85 got an ERA of like negative 10 walking around with his chest poked out like he's somebody and now even the "experts" are saying this $#!+ sucks - which it does.
state's in it and I got money state brings it home, i honestly do.....they are playing the game they've been told to play and doing it well and irreverently (which i like) but don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.................this $#!+ sucks.

I like it alright. The thing I don't like is the crappy defense that is played all over college baseball. Too damn many errors. I love baseball. I appreciate all the facets of the game. I like a good pitchers duel. I like to see a good ol slugfest now and again too though. I just hate to see games decided by errors. But hell, you wanna see balls flying out of the yard left and right, I don't know what to tell ya 'cept the home run derby is on during the Allstar break in MLB.

Agreed
"I'm all for pitching and defense and sacrifice bunts and the kind of thinking-man's baseball that provides a coach do more than just say, 'Go up there and get one in the jet stream.'"
"But so, too, is the home run. For the purists who say pitching and defense is what it's about, here comes Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron and Reg-gie Jackson."

Just saw where we are starting Graveman again. Kinda have mixed emotions about it. One one hand he's pitching ok but on the negative side, they've seen him before.
