Reporter to Coach Mullen: "How do you feel about being a 20-plus point underdog in the upcoming matchup?"
Mullen: "If they'd spot us the 24 points before the game started, I'd feel great about it."
Thought that was a pretty good answer.

He also has one of the best O lines ever assembled.
With Alabama having the best QB and the best Offensive Line ever assembled.......Alabama has allowed 15 sacks this year and State has allowed 6.....just saying :-0

that same Best QB and Great Ol was touchdown less against little ole puny Rebels Defense in the second half. Yes second half! And that was in T-Town.........
ABSOLUTELY. state has a chance...But IMO they have to get on board 3 TD s in first half to have a chance because Saban is master of the clock when it comes to 4th qrt.

It's the moral victory that just keeps on giving...

You nailed me Webbie! yes, Mike Slim has given us permission to count MV this year. But a fact is fact....State's defensive line is way bigger and stronger than Rebs....Why cant State shut down bama in second half like others have? Bama doesnt take getting hit in the mouth well. I think 5 players left the Rebel game to the lockers. State is HUNGRY....They will roll into town with Skoal in their eyes....Basically this is their biggest game in 50 years and I am hoping they will play too it!!....Ya'll try to TeaBag a Bully in Waffle House? you may get your nutts snipped!

You showed last year that you know nothing about football. Nothing has changed.
I wasn't even acknowledging anything about MSU. I was mocking your constant moral victory cry.

Granted, yes Russell 15 Td's and 1 pick. McCarron 16td's and 0 picks. Keep in mind State's opponents record for the season stands at 19-32.
And Bama's opponent's record is 24-25. Better? yes. Irrelevant? probably.
Irrelevant? Really? Not so fast my friend. The comparison is made between two QB's and their respective Efficiency numbers. Along with that, we look at the previous competition for a better comparison. 15 TD's and 1 pick is astounding. However, not such a heralded accomplishment against the likes of a Sun-Belt Conference schedule to date. The next 5 will provide a better glimpse of his talent.
I do think the Bullies will cover the spread just so you know.

Bama 42 msu 28.
I think Mcarron airs it out like we haven't seen him really do yet. They have no weakness.
Russell can spin it but i think he will turn it over one too many times against a real tough defense.

Well you could say Russell has a better group of WRs to throw too. Bamas best is a true freshman.

Precinct 913 has already faced the SEC's best WR tandem and shut them down. If State's LB's can shut that running game down, I don't see McCarron having a field day against our DB's passing the ball.

How did the greatest DBs in the country do against Troy State?

I agree. Hope we can keep Lacy under 200 yards rushing. Our run defense has not been good.
