My circuit clerk told me to look up the voting rights act of 1968.

Going to get my enhanced CC permit on Thursday.. From my understanding once you get the enhanced permit you can carry just about everywhere except

in courtrooms during a judicial 96 proceeding, any police, sheriff or highway patrol station or any detention facility, prison or jail.

So Churches, schools are ok as long as they don't post a "No Firearms" sign.

did she mean '65 or was she confusing it w/the fair housing act (civil rights act -'68)?? if she meant '65 then you were intimidating voters???

Yeah, I think she meant '65 cause there is no voting rights act of '68.

I started to tell her I was a human weapon and to just bring the voting machine outside for everyone's safety.

I gave you the AG's opinion on page 2 of this thread. Nothing has changed on this issue since it was handed down. You can go in to vote with your service gun, but you cant hang around the precinct or keep your marked vehicle parked at the polling place for longer than it takes to vote because it could be considered voter intimidation.

Thanks, Randy. I saw that and read it but i was picking with Agua. I am planning on taking that opinion to the police chief and the election commission. I need to find the original to print.

I toted mine in there,i find that hard to believe that's a law

I had a lady tell me I had to leave mine in the car and I laughed and said " sorry I'm on duty and I don't go unarmed". I told her to go read her law again.
