panthers anyone ???
I saw a large black cat in Leesville, La in 1981. We had just finished hunting deer. We came out after dark, and saw something black run through the heasdlites down the hill and across the levee of a 3 acre pond. I had a q-beam in my truck. When we first saw it thought it was a bear. It walked out into a pasture and stood in the light for at least 45 seconds, lonhg enough to get my 30-06 out and put him in the crosshairs. I almost lost my mind and shot him, but it didn't seem like the thing to do. That was 20 yrs ago and i still think of it quite often. It was a black cat probaly seven foot long including tail. Panther or a cougar, mountain lion, you pick the name. This is straight-up truth. I feel blessed to see something as rare as they are.
panthers anyone ???
We have seen one a couple of time on our club here in North Mississippi. I am not sure that he is completely black but he is very dark colored. Their scream will raise the the hairs on your back at about 4:30 in the morning too. There have also been reports on one in bull mountain bottom here in Itawamba County. But I saw the other with my own eyes and my wife saw it too. The spotting was by my uncle and if he sees it again we'll have a dead one to look at.

panthers anyone ???
Ive met a few salt n pepper haired locals..if ya know what I mean...who while sippin on a pint of Crown swear they have seen "panfa's" out in the woods by the river !!!! Most of the sightings out by Rena Lara !! I had an interesting, nearly half hour conversation, with one of these ole timers last winter about the "panfa" that attacked his brother who stop to relieve hissef in da woods out by Rena Lara last winter...Say, the "panfa" skeered him ta def and made a hoible squallin like soun ...It skeered his broder so bad that he messed hiself !!!
It seems that panfa sightings increase directly in proportion to the consumption of Gin n Juice by the locals !!!! LOL

panthers anyone ???
the cat he saw was mpst likely a florida panther, they are not that uncommon alond the Ms river, I have personally seen the in ANderson Tully, Yazoo, Panther Swamp (hint the name sake) and At warfield point Park out side of Greenville. These animals can cover a large amount of land in a short time so some sightings can me considered the same animal.
