I gave him all I could before I just got plain pissed off. Glad thay wacked him. Several of my posts got deleted from personal attacks that I either was defending against or just got mad and cussed him.

Thanks for the welcome Teul2!
Sometimes those enviro idiots just wear you down to the point where you have nothing left but to just start getting in their face. These guys just run around in circles with the same senseless rhetoric. Thank God they are the minority.
Well, you did a great job defending both freedom & hunting!

It didn't happen in the delta. This pic was actually taken in Lubbock, Texas(west Texas). There are two guide services that get together at the end of the season with all their buddies for a fun hunt. This year we had 33 people and put out over +100 doz. silo's and fullbodies. 15 guides blowing goose calls. The shot was called using a boat air horn. There were 114 birds killed(99 canadas,2 snows, 13 cranes). Over 30 were killed out of one volley. Teul2, who was your buddy again?? B

you sick sick twisted freaks. dont worry, one day it will be you and your sick hunting mates who are nothing but rotting carcasses on the floor, spelling something out. something along the lines of "i now realise animals are not ours to abuse, i wish i knew this before i died" springs to mind, but hey, you never know. one day...

I love making those tree huggers mad sometimes.
You just can't explain to them that
A: We don't make money of the game we kill
B: We are not hurting the ecology/ numbers of the animals we hunt.
C: We, as hunters, put forth more money and efforts to save animals
D: They just do not understand all the facts.

Hey there.
Im not gonna hide the fact that i find these pictures disgusting. As someone who cares for animals in general, I just dont see the point. At the same time, however, im not a vegetarian or someone who runs around letting animals out of zoos and stupid things like that.
Basically, I have an open mind.
I followed a link to this site from an animal rights board. Most people there are really irate about this. I don't think it's funny to attack animal rights in such an horrific way. There is no need for that.
At the same time i was interested by teul2's post about "tree huggers", especially the last 2 points about efforts to save animals and people just not understanding.
I would love to understand. If anyone would be so kind as to explain the benefits of hunting to me, i would be glad to listen. Please do.

sugarwebb,
i can't speak for teal2 but fact is hunting at least in the modern era has done more to save animals than any of your so called animal rights group ever have or ever will.
sales of hunting licences, memberships in sportsmans organizations have developed habitat, enforced strict limits on what and when animals can be harvested.
where i live in the early 1970s there were no deer and no turkey. now they abound. did this happen by accident? homey don't think so.
next time you travel down the highway and see a deer cross the road most likey if were not for sportsmen dedicated to the presevation of wildlife you wouldn't be seeing it.
sportsmans organizations spend millions in the acquisition of properties not to mention lobbying to improve the quality of wildlife habitat.
why someone hunts is a complicated matter. it means many things to different people. i enjoy the outdoors. i have always had some type of pointing or retrieving dog. that has been one of the major factors for me. mostly it's religious....and i know that is going to be one of the most difficult things for you to swallow, but it's quite true. if you have never seen ducks land in front of you on a snowey morning then you'll probably never get it.

Hey Sugar, why the lack of profile. We just tryin to do our thing. You hang around some hunters for a while you might change your tune. Sounds like you just think the world is sugar coated or somethin. Hunters who kill/harvest actually keep animals species viable/alive in the long run by keeping the traditions alive and workin/paying for preservation of habitat for all future generations to guarrantee this forever, hopefully. Hard to understand harvesting wildlife is the management tool that keeps the whole thing going. Wild turkey, deer, and gosh almighty the ducks would have long since disappeared if it weren't for conservationist and hunters. They almost did many years ago if it weren't for some true visionaries.
I hope you are true to your convictionns as we are. If you indeed can not tolerate the hunting ethic and all that it entails, you'd better not be wearing a leather belt, purse, eat any kind of meat, poultry or seafood or you my dear are a hypocrit! If you aren't then we can respect your beliefs 'cause you certainly are entitled to it. Sounds like a Kerry fan but fixing to fall off the wrong side of the fence. "Wrong" I know is relative. But glad you are willing to question and hopefully see a higher purpose of "killing".
The light geese overpopulation problem is the reason for the pics. The things are destroying the northern habitat b/c when they feed they pull the grass up by the roots and destroy the wetland. To help control this the Feds have granted extra hunting days for geese with liberal limits. What is feared is Ma Nature will eventually take over and the cosequences could mean the loss of lotta waterfowl and other species too. Disease ain't pretty either! We're kinda glad the problem is being addressed. What knowledge or expertise could PETA afford?
Oh, most of these fellars are making tasty sausage outta these birds. Ain't like they're throwin'em in the ditch.
Tree huggers. Hun, down here in the "Pine Belt" we grow trees to harvest. About a 10 year cycle but a necessity. Toilet paper grows on trees. Always thought that was the problem with the siche in the Arab world. Havin to use sand to wipe your booty might give you a mean attitude too.
Man, I can't believe I'm doin this....my soap box gonna wreck in a minute.
